Anthony and Julie have been amazing for us, their brilliant venue suited us down to the ground. We knew it was the perfect place as soon as we saw it on an open day - we held out through lockdowns to make sure we could still go there. Anthony had been guiding us through the process of rebooking and helping us with advice along the way versus lockdown and covid19 restrictions and made us feel so much better every time we phoned up.
We hired the whole venue and marquee for our DIY wedding over a weekend, hosting our guests in each apartment, all apartments are different size each with it's charm

Anthony is the perfect host, from the warm welcome to the support during our stay. The accommodation is just amazing, it was like sharing someone's home in a well kept country mansion. The room we had was incredible, with beautifully ornate high ceilings, well furnished with exceptionally comfortable beds. The quirky electricity meter was such good value and in fitting with the old world charm of Hargate Hall. The current owners have taken great care to preserve the authenticity of the building and its contents. There are excellent local walks (recommend Millers Dale) and restaurants in the area
