You can now view Allergies, Medications and Blood Test results within your medical record, or order your repeat prescription online using either the NHS App or Patient Access. Available 24 hours a day, whether you're at home or work, it's especially useful when the practice is closed or telephone lines are busy.

If you currently leave your paper prescription at a local chemist for them to bring to Amherst using this new service is faster and more efficient. Your prescription will still go back to the chemist of your choice. This guide pulls together key information, provides links to other useful sites, and explains what the British Medical Association, representing UK doctors and medical students, think about it all.
Services
NHS 111 (Help Line) provides a national 24 hour a day, 7 days a week confidential health line, staffed by experienced nurses. They can be contacted on 111 and their helpline is a valuable source of information and advice. Please note this NHS 111 number can be used to phone in the case of an urgent problem when the practice is closed.
The Amherst Medical Practice processes an average of 300 Patient Requests for Prescriptions a Day. Please help us to help you by understanding how the system works and sticking to the rules. As the result of a visit to your home or to the Practice, you have been informed that you need a Prescribed Treatment.
At home or on the move, with the new NHS App you can conveniently order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical records, manage appointments at your GP surgery, set organ donation preferences, and check symptoms. The app has been developed by the NHS and has been designed to help people get more information about their health and care - and more control of how they use NHS services.
This information seeks your co-operation to try to make sure that your prescription request passes smoothly through the system. If you have a repeat prescription slip you will be issued with a New Prescription for your medicines without having to refer to the Doctor. If you order from your repeat prescription by handing it in we do need your BOLD TICKS to the left of your medication details; this does make it much easier for us to process.
Local Chemists often pick up Prescriptions from the Sevenoaks Practice so that you can collect your Medicines direct from them. This list is made up of chemists that are up to 6 miles from the Amherst Medical Practice Sevenoaks. It may not be complete. The Brasted Practice has been granted the right to dispense prescription medicines to our patients in the rural areas of Brasted and surrounding villages.

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews but it has got to the point where I feel like I have no choice. Every single interaction with them is negative and stressful. I really do not recommend them as a GP.
I will explain using today’s example but there really has been so many examples I can use from previous interactions with them since I joined them 2 years ago.
This morning I call the doctors at 8:31am and it says our phone lines are full and it hangs up on me.
I ring a little while later, the receptionist answers and I ask for an appointment. The rude receptionist answers back saying

Famously in the UK GP receptionist can be very unpleasant - it is fair to say that amhurst keeps up to that stereotype. Very Rude and very sarcastic. Not gonna lie guys if you hate Mondays you hate your job. Best to leave and scare children else where. They are recruiting at Thorpe park for Halloween. I’m sure you will do well.

I really try to avoid leaving negative reviews but since I've read some reviews and kept seeing the same point I have to repeat it again. Receptionists are rude and unpleasant, and they think the person on other side of the phone call is stupid and has absolutely no idea and therefor it is not worth to listen to them. Even if the NHS pays for your patients, it does not give you the right to treat your patients like second-class people.

I attended the Amherst Medical Practice today, 14/04/2021 to have a small lump
removed from my buttock, which made sitting down rather painful. I was attended to by Dr.Molina & nurse Mandy Charles., and am grateful to them both for the dignity and politeness I was shown, putting me at ease, and could not wish for better treatment.
Again many, many thanks
