The Lyndhurst Medical Centre is a training practice which means that we will have at least one GP Registrar working at the surgery most of the time. We are also involved in the training of Year 3 student doctors from Guy's and St Thomas'. Our Receptionists are fully trained, and are trying to do a difficult and demanding job, often working under extreme pressure.

There are car parking spaces available for patients at the surgery. However, we would ask you not to park in the spaces marked "STAFF ONLY" at the rear of the premises or, if able-bodied, in the disabled bay situated near the main entrance or on the grass verge to the left-hand side of the drive. We do not accept responsibility for any damage caused to cars parked in our car park.
Please ensure that we have a record of your correct address and contact telephone number(s) in order that we can amend our records. This will help avoid inconvenience to patients when we need to cancel appointments at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. It will also allow us to notify the hospital of the correct patient details in the event of a referral being required, thus avoiding delays in appointments being notified.

If you can get seen to - the service is great. However, for non-standard appointments, it is impossible to get through to reception on the phone line. Also, we have been denied the ability to make an urgent medical appointment on the basis of having a temperature (suggested covid), despite clear evidence pointing towards an established medical condition.

This surgery is run and led by business orientated mentality . So the first priority for them is NOT the patient . I cant compare it to other surgery in the area but if Lyundhurst was given 5 stars by some people here then other surgery's might be a complete disaster . in my opinion , its a absolute shambolic .
