I have been a documentary Norfolk wedding photographer for the last 14 years and feel very lucky to do what I do. I live in the wilds of Norfolk with my lovely wife Suzanne and our furbaby Moshi the cat. We like to live an outdoor life as much as possible and relish every opportunity to get away to the hills and mountains.
I'm serious about my craft, but very little else. My photography has always been about capturing life in the moment and telling stories with a collection of images. I photograph weddings all over the UK and beyond. Since starting my business in 2004, couples as far-flung as Europe and the USA have flown me out to cover their weddings for them. A large number of my wedding bookings come from referrals from previous clients - I'm very grateful for their recommendations of course. It's very important to me to not just take great photos for my clients, but also to be a positive part of their wedding day. We loved our wedding photos as they really capture the spirit of the happy occasion.
At the last wedding we went to the photographer had everyone standing around forever taking group photos!. I hear this a lot when I speak to guests at weddings. It's difficult to know whether this was the fault of the photographer or the couple they were working for. I recommend that you try to keep the number of family and friend group photos below 10 if possible.
My usual coverage includes preparations before the ceremony through the wedding day into the evening and the dancing to give you a complete story of your day. After the wedding, I'll spend the next week hand finishing each photograph and present you with a storyboard preview on my website and the full set of high-resolution images (approx 500 from a full day coverage) on USB for you to print and share.
I offer half and full day photography training in Norwich and Norfolk to photographers of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Working one-to-one with you allows me to tailor the sessions around your images, your abilities and your ambitions. Before we meet I'll ask you to send me some of your photos and we'll chat on the phone about what you're looking for from the training, areas to focus on and discuss locations to shoot.

Duncan did an absolutely amazing job at our wedding, and the photos are perfect. My husband hates having his photo taken (he initially didn't want a photographer at the wedding at all). Duncan's calm and relaxed style put him completely at ease and got a whole series of wonderful relaxed photos.
During the event he managed to be completely unobtrusive but at the same time everywhere - looking back at the photos now he has captured so many details of the day and interactions between people that I can't quite believe there is just one of him! We came across Duncan because he was the photographer at one of our friends' wedding. Luckily, he was available for our big day!
We loved our wedding photos as they really capture the spirit of
the happy occasion. He managed to get loads of great shots without
ever being obtrusive. Our wedding took place in Cambridge, and Duncan was a good sport clambering on and off the punt and
trying his best to make my husband look relaxed in front of the camera!

When first meeting Duncan he put us at ease and listened to what style of photos we wanted to capture of our special day. Throughout the pre-wedding shoot he was very friendly, listened to our ideas and requests, was very easy going and most importantly captured some wonderful photos. The wedding day was exactly the same, he fitted in instantly with the easy going nature of our day and has produced some wonderful photos for us to treasure. Alot of our guests when seeing the preview photos commented that they didn't even realise he was taking photos of them, so he was definitly inconspicuous! I

I would definitely recommend Duncan for your wedding photographer! Everyone who has seen our photos says they are stunning! He captured the light perfectly and created unusual shots that we would have never thought of! Wedding days fly by but his documentary style tells the story of the entire day so we can relive it over and over. We got the posed shots we wanted but so much more from his distinctive style. He also took the time to meet with us beforehand even though he lived far away to make sure he understood what we wanted.

Choosing a photographer can be a nerve-wracking part of planning a wedding, so we were very relieved to find Duncan who put us at ease immediately. On the day, he was like a shadow, everywhere but never intrusive, capturing the moments that we weren’t around to see. Afterwards, he was quick to send the photos and they were all great, particularly so, considering a rather camera-phobic groom! We’d recommend him to anyone!

We absolutely loved having Duncan as our wedding photographer. He has an incredible ability to capture moments between people and produce the most beautiful shots. He managed to take most of the photos without anyone noticing he was there. He has a relaxed style and helps you to feel as ease. Communication was very easy and we had preview photos to look at and share with family within a week of the wedding. We then received a memory stick with the full set just over 2 weeks after. We would definitely recommend him!

Duncan was utterly brilliant from start to finish when he photographed our wedding in September. Despite not having been able to meet up ahead of the big day he fitted in like an old friend and was able to capture the most special moments of the wedding without being in the centre of everything all the time - in fact, many of our guests have commented how surprised they have been at the amazing photos as "we didn't even see the photographer"!

Duncan was our wedding photographer and as a result we have the most beautiful images as reminder of our special day. We were so pleased with the quality of the pictures and Duncan was brilliant - from ensuring the cake was in the best position for cutting it, to grabbing my shawl from our dressing room during a chilly cocktail hour. We couldn't have asked for anything more.
