Kimberley is one of the finest wedding venues in Norfolk, built in 1712, and a much-loved family home. Situated on the 'hill at Downham' in an Arcadian landscape designed in 1778 by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, the house overlooks a substantial 15-acre lake and the River Tiffey valley. The park is home to Norfolk's best collection of ancient oaks, recently acknowledged by the experts at Kew Gardens.
The 18th-century rooms in the Hall and West Wing offer a combination of traditional grandeur with a unique, stylish entertainment space incorporating a contemporary bar area and a state of the art lighting system that can be adapted to complement your event. Kimberley has the flexibility to be whatever you want it to be; a blank canvas upon which to exercise your creative energy.

We are licensed for marriage ceremonies in the music room adorned with original John Sanderson plaster-work from 1770. The maximum capacity is 120 seated comfortably in rows. For those winter weddings the music room hosts a real log fire, ensuring the warmth of your guests. Non amplified music is welcome during your ceremony and you may hire a Pianist for our grand piano.
To complement the classical rooms in the Hall, the West Wing provides the ideal setting for the wedding breakfast, music and dancing. Its contemporary vernacular design, with lime-washed red brick, oak floors and under-floor heating, has a computer-controlled LED lighting system allowing the walls and roof structure to be bathed in the atmospheric colour of your choice.
Kimberley Hall has an abundance of space and is beautifully suited to cooler months of the year and winter weddings. Whatever the weather we are able to accommodate you and your guests with great comfort, greeting you with a roaring log fire in the Music Room where your arrival drinks may be served and your ceremony take place.

We got married here in October and it is just the most stunning location. We had so many complimemts from family and friends far and wide and everyone was enamoured.
The interior rooms and exterior gardens and views are incredible and really take your breath away. They make for some absolutley stunning photos and the back drop is beautiful.
Perfect location and we couldn't ask for anything more.
