Cut by hand from the world's finest leathers, each pair of Edward Greens is made in our Northampton workshop according to the same principles that have guided us for over a century. Crafted and honed with unerring attention to detail our shoes embody the timeless elegance of quintessentially English style.

Edward Green was a man with a singular passion for shoes. Starting in the industry as a twelve-year-old apprentice, Edward was driven by an ambition to make a better class of shoe. He established his own workshop in Northampton in 1890, gathering around him the town's most illustrious craftsmen, each an expert in their respective field, and sourced the best materials for them to work with.

Great customer service! A really wonderful experience with this brand. I left this shop feeling really really happy in my investment. I truly appreciate the level of detail the brand pays attention to with their shoes.
I took the opportunity to walk into this boutique shop on Jermyn Street as I was in London for an event with my friend. We both are into our Jermyn Street brands for mainly clothes. However we decided to have a look at shoes too on this trip this time round. I am glad that we both did enter in the end as it was well worth the time and money.
As well as the brand, I wanted to commend

Terrible customer service. Absolutely abysmal and insulting. I left this shop somewhat dismayed and if I did angry, this experience would have made my blood boil!
Was in London for the weekend with my son so we took the opportunity to pop in here. He loves his tailored shirts and suits so had been wanting to look at these shoes for quite some time.
I certainly wished we hadn't.
The customer service was terrible even to the point of being insulting. The sales person that I would very loosely describe as a gentleman (based on his gender not his manners or demeanour) was terrible and his attitude

I don't really do reviews, but felt compelled to do so after recently reading a negative review of this store.
I have visited this store on two occasions in the last year and while I have not purchased anything yet I hope to soon.
Each time I have been met with a pleasant welcome as I entered and never felt less than looked after whilst in the store. On my second visit I was measured and tried a pair of shoes on for size, I explained I was not planning on buying that day but the gentleman still found a good fit for me and I left the store satisfied that I will make a purchase in the near future

This is the place to go if you want superb service and, frankly, the best ready to wear shoes money can buy. The shoes are made of the very best leathers, the lasts they are built on fit the best of any make I've tried and so the shoes are very very comfortable. Edward Green manage to pull off a product that is beautiful, stylish and unpretentious all at the same time. Very English shoes with just the right amount of flair and the older they become the better looking they get! The price may seem high to some customers, but they are worth every penny!

They are absolutely fantastic. No one can beat them for quality, service or selection and they will bend over backwards to make sure you get exactly what you want. All of their styles are timeless, will last for years and can be refurbished countless times. I would never go anywhere else and haven't for decades.

Hands-down the best ready-to-wear and made-to-order shoe maker in the world. Maker of quintessential English shoes for both town and country, including the iconic Dover and Chelsea models. Crafted from the finest materials, Edward Green shoes are the only brand of shoe that has never given me a single moment of discomfort, from day one. Other brands rub or pinch until the shoe is broken in, but not Edward Green.
The staff in the Jermyn Street store are knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. Living where I do, I don't get to visit often, but when I do it's like visiting old friends.
For me, Edward

Great shoes and charming service. I am lucky to own a few pairs. Very classic but with a modern twist which is very eye catching. Seem to get even better with age. Went back for some repairs and they came back as if they were brand new. Can't fault them or the staff.

My experience here, was quite simply unique. I bought a pair of shoes which are the essence of quality. Once they were on my feet, resistance was futile. They cost more than my car, and they were on sale. Some time later I was out and about in St James's and a gentleman greeted me - he recognized the shoes he had sold me. I realize that, in life, you must get the very best shoes and bed, your money can buy. If you are not in one, you are in the other. I'm still saving for the bed......it's going to take a while....

Just sheer perfection!

What a true luxury to have a pair of Edward Green shoes, the look, the fit, the comfort, just sheer perfection!

The first pair ($$$) might be a little daunting, however it will take just a few step and your feet will not only feel the difference your entire body will feel the difference and then you are a believer.

The customer care you will receive when your shoes need a little upkeep is spot on! You leave with what looks and feels like a new pair of shoes.

I am still wearing my first pair, almost 18 years old, the comfort is still there along with the classic style

I went to the Jermyn Street store in London recently and ordered a pair of Mushroom Suede Dover Derby shoes from Sergio. Generally people in the shop are helpful although they seem to have a lot of work to do on the computer every time I go into the store. Sergio will take the time to get out shoes for you in the various lasts so that you buy the shoes that are right for you, it helps to plan your time to stay for a while. But I'd already had a good idea of what I wanted having drooled all over the amazing shoes on the Edward Green website which is excellent. They really have it down as a company

Outstanding shoes, insulting service.

I travelled to London to get a suit made and a few pairs of shoes.

The Edward Green store was high on my list of candidates for shoe purchase. I arrived with my partner and browsed the store. Upon choosing the pair I was interested in, I asked the staff about potential customisations available on the shoes I wanted.

The tone of sales assistants voice was very insulting. Instead of coming over to me and showing me the shoe he was trying to point out, he instead attempted to tell me which shoe from half way across the store. "Higher, lower, to the right

I feel like I need to provide my experience regarding service to counterbalance the two reviews that mention service as a negative. I live in the states, so I'm not a regular physical client at their Jermyn Street store, but my experiences ordering from the store via e-mail were flawless. Luca, the sales manager, always answered my e-mails promptly and efficiently, answered any and all questions, and even provided various suggestions on sizing, style, etc.

My shoes came more-or-less within the timeframe specified upon ordering, and I'm completely satisfied with the quality, both

I bought a very fine pair of Edward Green shoes at Leffot in New York on a visit from San Francisco, but I neglected to purchase the last-made trees to go with the shoes. When I returned home I phoned Leffot and left a message asking how I might do so; about a week later I left a second message to the same effect, but no one ever returned my calls. Since EG specifically advises in its literature that one should use the trees they make for each pair of shoes, I emailed them in London -- twice -- asking how I might purchase the trees. As with Leffot, they never responded to either post. Shoes? Very

Well, I must admit, I am a bit ambivalent towards this brand and their shop on Jermyn Street.

No question, their shoes are outstanding. The Quality of leather and workmanship are among the best for ready-made shoes in London, and despite the fact that their range of shoes is more limited than e.g. Crockett & Jones or Tricker's, they still cover most of the standard shoe types, and they also offer a special-order service where you can pick your last, shoe style and leather, and they will manufacture just the right shoe for you.

On the other hand, I have never had a pleasant experience
