Chelsea Green Shoe Repairs has been trading from it Elystan Street address since 1973 when it was founded by Mr. Sid Dunning. Initially Sid, his wife and his children were all employed in the shop, working the counter, keeping the books and cobbling the shoes. The business concentrated on Shoe and Boot Repairs - covering all aspects of the shoe repair trade - as well as a key cutting service.
We cover a full range of Shoe and Boot Repairs carried out to a very high standard and using traditional methods. We replace all Soles and Heels in Full or with a Half Sole. We use Top Class materials which have been sourced globally, which are also reasonably priced. We also carry work out on Zips, Buckles, Front and Back Linings.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
Got glue permanently stuck on upper. Best advert for European workforce. Poor workmanship. Seemed rushed. Don't lose your ticket as all hell breaks loose due to traditional lazy inefficiency. God help us with Brexit. Appropriately attached to the local council estate.

DAMAGED WATCH - I took my Swiss designer watch to this shop to have the battery replaced. When I collected the watch, the battery was in and working, but the back of the watch had been completely scratched up, the gold from the main part of the watch has a deep nick in it and the leather on the strap has been damaged.
I was quite upset about it (the watch was a gift from my husband barely 12 months ago) and asked what they were going to do to rectify the situation (thinking, they'd replace the leather strap at the very least) and the man said he could do 'nothing

A real English old fashion cobbler and family run business. Makes me feel very nostalgic.
I took my work shoe Barker semi brogues to be resoled as a test run. I was delighted with the quality of workmanship, and subsequently returned with two pairs of my beloved Joseph Cheaney Oxfords. Very pleased to have found this place, which was recommended to me by my elderly uncle who has come here since the shop opened. I will never take my shoes anywhere else.

The gentleman behind the counter was abrupt, did not even listen what i was asking him to do with the shoes and replied rudely "no, i refuse to do that" and stopped talking to me. Needless to say i was shocked by this kind of service! Definitely would NOT recommend! Btw, I took my shoes to another shoemaker next door and he did a perfect job!
