Traveling in London, walked in with an oversized belt I bought in Camden Town that I didn't try on properly and was about 2/3 inches too long. I asked (George I believe?) if he could put some extra holes in the belt. Instead, he offered to shorten it so there would be no awkward overhang and did it in about two seconds! It was exactly what I needed, and he was so nice and knowledgeable. If I needed a shoe repair I would definitely do it here!

Incredible service at George's - I recently took some shoes in, and, after explaining the reason behind the damage, they were kind enough to fix them up free of charge. Although I tried to contribute, they wouldn't have it. You can tell just from meeting the staff that they care about their craft and are far more concerned with fabulous service than money. Highly recommend to anyone.

I originally went to a larger company around the corner from this store but the service was disgusting so decided on Georges Shoe Repair for my key cutting needs instead.
Lovely little place, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great value for money and got the job done within minutes!

I went to have my shoes repaired at George Shoe Repairs and the man told me that I was better off buying a new pair of boots instead of spending the money to have them fixed. Although I cannot review a shoe repair, I can give 5 stars for honest, reliable and fantastic customer service. Not many places will give you such an honest opinion when it means losing business for themselves so thank you, George Shoe Repairs, for your honesty.

I had a belt shortened, via the buckle side. The stitching seems quite irregular and unfinished, with glue added and some loose ends. Before and after pics seen below (Striped background = before, and white background = after). Luckily it won’t be seen when buckled! However, it was adjusted to the right length, quite a decent price and quick 1 day turnaround.

Took my boots in to replace the zips but the lovely man had a look and applied his pliers to some of the zip's teeth then told me that I should oil the zip which will make the problem go away and save myself the £40-45 it would cost to replace metal zips. Didn't even try to sell me anything. Honest people are hard to come by - really recommend this place!

I was visiting from across the pond and had a wedding emergency as I needed a minor repair and polish. I did a search of shoe repairs with favorable reviews near my hotel, and I was able to run over to George's 15 minutes before they were closing.
He was sympathetic to my plight and went to work on them right away. Him and his wife were pleasant to chat with, and he did an amazing job with my shoes. I couldn't be happier. Thank you!

Great little shop. George and his son are professional and knowledgeable in their trade. Dropped off a pair of Ted Bakers for a re-heel job. They built the leather base of my heel back to it's original level and placed a new rubber heel on for only £16! Found my new spot for shoe repairs in London. Highly recommended!
