Our Driving School was established in 2004 and we've grown to over 30 instructors covering Wirral, Liverpool, Southport and Chester. We focus on high quality instruction and helping our pupils to pass quickly.

Birkenhead Driving School can take you from applying for your Provisional Licence, through the DVSA Theory Test, through regular weekly driving lessons to your DVSA Practical Driving Test and once you've passed we'll even do your Pass Plus training. We'll help you with all the form filling and test bookings.

Very cost effective and convenient for the pupil but it's not an option for everyone. So here's a few questions to ask yourself. Yes - if you've got a Provisional Driving Licence (if not apply for one here or get a form D1 from the Post Office) and have already passed your DVSA Theory Test.
At Birkenhead Driving School you can typically choose from Citroen DS3's, Peugeot 208's, Vauxhall Corsa's. Most UK driving schools currently use these cars for user driving training. The DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency) recommend you take average 45 hours of professional driving tuition before test - this in addition to private practice.

My driving instructor Peter is amazing, made me feel really at ease and boosted my confidence. I transferred from another driving school that had knocked my confidence majorly and Peter really helped me come back from this. He is very patient ,communicates well and completely got rid of all of my anxieties about getting behind the wheel. Would definitely highly recommend him! There really should be more driving instructors like this! Thankyou for helping me pass !

Peter Lynn was my driving instructor. He's a calm understanding guy with a great way of explaining what to do and why to do it. Passed first time after less than 15 double lessons. Would highly recommend Peter to anyone thinking of learning or looking for a new instructor.

I passed my test today with Daren as my instructor and could not recommend him enough! After trying to learn on and off for a few years now, he was extremely supportive and assertive when necessary, and he gave me the confidence to feel fully ready and equipped for my test, and the knowledge and expertise to stay safe after passing too! I would highly recommend to any new learners, especially if you are lacking in confidence as Daren was so reassuring and I had such a positive overall experience learning with him!

My instructor, Daren, is the main reason I passed my test. He pushes you to give you confidence and is always calm and assertive when you're stuck or confused. I felt comfortable on the day of test as I knew that Daren had taught me everything I needed to know to drive confidently. Would HIGHLY recommend Birkenhead Driving School!!!
