Our guests are housed in unique, large, fully insulated chalets, with space outside for play time. All Cats are treated as individuals, and we try and accommodate all their special needs. The Firs is a home from home where we will care for and pamper your special companions as if they were our own.
The Firs Luxury Boarding Cattery has been established for over 16 years, and Nicola Quadling is the proud owner of this unique Cattery in Walesby, North Nottinghamshire. Nicola has had a range of experience with all types of animals since an incredibly young age. Cats and dogs in particular have played the biggest part of her life but she has also shared her heart with rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, tortoises, budgies and fish!

We want to give your cat the best holiday while you have yours. Our standards around the cattery are high and we pride ourselves on the quality services that we can provide for you and your cat. You can leave your feline friend at our cattery knowing that both the cattery and your cat are fully insured.
Here at The Firs we believe that your special feline friend deserves the best comfort and they get this no matter what time of year or how long or short their stay is. We have different types of Chalets to suit the age, personality and number of cats (our largest Chalet can house up to six cats). All of our Chalets are much bigger than regulation standard sizes, so your cat will have plenty of room to relax while on their holiday.
We have an extensive range of food for your cat, so we can maintain your cat's diet whilst they are away from home. If they are on a prescription, special diet or breed specific food, please bring this with them. We are sorry but we are unable to accept food dishes from home, this is to avoid damage, breakages or injury.
It is important that your cat is fully vaccinated, and we are required to have proof of this due to licensing laws. When you bring your cat to stay you must bring their vaccination card with them and this is required to be with us for the duration of their stay. These cards hold your personal information and under GDPR we keep them locked away.
We charge per day no matter what time your cat arrives; this ensures that the Chalet has been fully disinfected and set up ready for your cat's arrival. We have a minimum stay fee of 30.00, so if you need your cat to stay for 1 night only, which would be for two days this fee would be charged. Please note that in the event of owners returning before the end of the boarding period booked, the total cost of the period booked will be charged.

Just picked up my 5 cats from the firs they have been in the cattery for 17 days. 2 cats are older 17 and 15 another one is quite difficult. Nicola and Hayley are so brilliant with them and with me they understand owners have anxiety leaving their pets. I can't praise them enough Nicola has a heart of gold and genuinely loves animal's.

Staff friendly. Nice environment for cats. I think they like cats. They have plenty of nice outdoor space which suited Sevvy really well as he had been living on his own outdoors for 18 months before we had him. He came home happy.
I can't say what is like from the cat's perspective but I think they will look after your pet really well. I am happy to take my cat back there if I have to leave him anywhere again! That's the best recommendation I can give.

Wow what a amazing place we booked our 2 cats lima and rocket in at quite short notice.
Nicola was amazing and very accommodating when we arrived we were amazed at Nicolas business and knew straight away the cats were going to be well looked after and cared for and we had no worries at all about the cats while we were away and is excellent in every way. On picking our cats up the professional and caring greeting was 100% from Nicola and her staff we were so impressed and amazed that we have already booked our cats in again for next year.

I took my cat, Ollie, here for the first time today. he had some clumps of fur that needed removing. not only have they gone, his fur still covers where they were and it looks in tip top condition. the staff we're lovely and clearly love their job. I cannot recommend The Firs Cattery highly enough. Ollie looks like he belongs to someone again.
