Our charity offers a traditional approach to the practice of Yoga, Meditation and Philosophy, promoting both inner peace and spiritual growth. Ealing Yoga, Meditation and Philosophy Centre aims to help individuals lead a happier, more natural life and so discover how to evolve spiritually. It believes that physical and psychological well-being are enhanced by coming to know oneself at all levels - body, breath, emotions, mind - and beyond.

To help individuals develop inner awareness and understanding, the Centre has, for the last twenty years, offered courses and retreats on hatha yoga, breathing & relaxation, meditation and practical philosophy. The Centre has come into being to help people let go of that which separates them from the truth of who they really are.

A general yoga class where both beginners and continuing students are welcome. The Yoga is HATHA, Yoga of movement and a whole-body approach to fitness. Yoga postures free up the body, promoting suppleness, strength and improved posture and the mind becomes a quieter place. Learn and develop how to relax your body and breath, focus your mind & rest in a place of stillness.
In this seminar, we examine one of the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda known as the Dhatus. The word Dhatu means 'to hold' & refers to a layer or stratum made up of an essential constituent without which the body cannot be formed. Dhatus are the fundamental building blocks of the body and as such, understanding how they are formed, plus what is needed for their construction, is of vital importance.
For most meditators, one-pointed concentration is a goal but not a reality. We do our best to manage distractions when they arise, yet often find them managing us instead. One way of handling distractions is to let them pass without giving them new energy. In the process, our concentration is naturally strengthened.
