Sedlescombe Golf Club
Situated in the heart of the East Sussex countryside you will find a hidden gem. Whether you are wanting to play golf on either of our two courses, practice your golf game on our floodlit driving range, enjoy a spectacular meal in our clubhouse restaurant, while away time catching up with friends in the bar or rest your head in one of our luxurious hotel rooms, we have it all for everyone to enjoy.

Our championship 18 hole course is a true test of golf with a carefully thought layout in superb condition. Our par 3, 9 hole course is an equal to our championship course for practice and beginners. We also offer a undercover driving range, 3 practice greens and golf tuition for all. Here at Sedlescombe we make sure we concentrate on all the small things.
Services
Our golf memberships are truly affordable. In 2021 we have maintained our 2020 membership fees whilst other courses have raised their's. We truly believe that golf is for the masses and not the elite few and by joining our club you become part of it, utilising every aspect we have to offer. Once you are a member you are able to gain a handicap and take part in many of our club competitions.
Booking on our 9 hole Par 3 course is necessary and the Pro Shop must be called for a Tee Time on 01424-871700. Although a handicap is not required to play either of our courses we would suggest all beginners start by playing our Par 3 course to gain experience on how to play and knowledge of golf etiquette.
All are welcome on either of our two courses and driving range. Our 18 hole championship 'Great Wood' course is splendid to play, making its way through mature oaks with every hole unique and a test for all standards of players. Our 9 hole par 3 course 'Little Wood' is very special, with a unique layout and greens that compete with any course.
Our golf shop boasts a large selection from all main golf brands such as Callaway, Ping and Cobra. We stock everything you may need from shoes to tees and everything in-between. With our driving range facility we are able to offer Custom Fitting on all hardware so you can be assured you are buying the right equipment for you and your swing.
Situated in the beautiful surroundings of the historic East Sussex countryside and the perfect place to relax and enjoy a nights stay in our hotel after playing golf. The hotel looks over the course and a short walk from the 1st tee, driving range and club house facilities. Twenty luxurious rooms situated in the tranquil East Sussex Countryside with sumptuous beds, tea + coffee making facilities and pristine bathrooms throughout, come and enjoy.

The staff were so helpful with a disabled child, nothing was to much trouble for him to have a go on the range. As a retired golfer myself wanting to get back on the fairway this will be the club for me. Everyone was so friendly. Great atmosphere

It was good. All very proper. You have to wear and have the right gear and clothes which i find in this day and age a bit silly but club and golf was good.

I have been playing golf for a year now. I am a member at Sedlescombe and it’s my first membership I have had. I can’t see myself ever moving from the club. Every member of staff are great. Very kind and welcoming in every department of the club. I’m always excited to go back as without a doubt the club have made an upgrade or improvement which doesn’t seem like it’s going to stop. The course is a great challenge and such good fun. The Par 3 course is a brilliant bonus too. I have had a few lessons with PGA pro Tom North who has turned my swing/golf game around.
Don’t have a bad thing

Nice course but holes could do with plan of hole to help the casual visit. If I hadn't played with two members the experience would not have been as enjoyable.

Driving range - its basically a very good range, bays are well done and the range is fine with clear markers. What lets it down are the awful range balls - many years old and several are cracked and don't fly as they should do. At £9 for 2 tokens they need to invest in new balls. Ill give other ranges in the area a try before returning.

Lovely place great staff in clubhouse. But the grass just off the first cut is ridiculous. Well over a foot high and mostly dense you risk injury attempting a full swing if you find yourself in it, that's if you can actually find your ball. Pro shop claimed it was set up that way due hosting a county championship, however if thats case then why is the par 3 course set up the same? Check its had good haircut before you play.

Amazing facilities and a refreshing approach towards the junior golfers. So good to see a proactive approach to the youngsters, shame you don’t see this in most of the other big local clubs!
As a parent the fact that I can leave both my children on the range having lessons whilst I have an amazing latte / hot chocolate and know they are safe is priceless.
Thanks guys 🏌️‍♂️🏌🏼‍♀️✅

What can I say... arrogant, rude, unhelpful staff. No customer service whatsoever. Shocking attitude. If you are looking to play in the local area, go elsewhere... it costs nothing to smile, be civil to your clients and not demean non-members.

Appalling service, we had this course booked since March we checked a couple of weeks ago and the hotel was still closed due to Covid which is fine but we confirmed we still wanted to play golf and the club confirmed this was ok for our 10am tee off for this coming Saturday, when our friend called this Monday to ask if we can get a coffee at the… course they said it was under new management and they wouldn’t honour our booking time, when asked was they going to let us know they said oh we have a note here we was going to call you! .....when? Absolute joke of a club

We were there doing a 3 half day course.
It was a fantastic experience. Tom North, our pro is one of the nicest guy's I've ever met ! And a great pro of course, he explains everything really well, simple and effective. The video analysis is a great feature and helps you understand a lot quicker what you need to improve on.
The course was in great condition, great greens, bunkers fairways, etc, and quite challenging. After our lessons we could go on the course in the afternoon, all included in the fee, so all in all great value for money. The staff at the clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop, were all
