Services
Through an introduction by Trevor Burgess, the 2018 Piltdown Men's Captain, we have a reciprocal with Los Lagartos near Buenos Aires. Los Logartos is one of the top clubs in Argentina, and provides not only golf facilities, but also Polo, football, swimming, squash and bridge. Our arrangement with them is for a free round of golf - to a maximum of 4 players on any one day.
There are two dining rooms in the Clubhouse. The formal dining room can accommodate 40 people, and the "Piltdown Room" (created by closing the folding doors in the lounge area) can comfortably accommodate 16 to 18 people in less formal surroundings. We can also cater for a similar number in our Board Room upstairs, which can also be hired for meetings.
Piltdown's 18-hole course has no bunkers, but its narrow fairways, small greens and abundant heather, gorse and gullies provide a tempting challenge for the bold, strategic player. Our PGA Professional Jason Partridge manages and controls the Green Fees on behalf of the Club. It is always advisable to telephone Jason on 01825 722389 before you come to play at Piltdown.
Before 1904 Piltdown Common was a mass of gorse, bracken and heather, punctuated here and there by areas of grass and an occasional tree - a walk on Ashdown Forest or the Chailey Commons gives a pretty good idea of what it must have been like. It was quite a feat of imagination to see a possible golf course here.
On or to the left of the 14th fairway when playing the 13th hole until you pass the 2 white posts. Note: Areas not marked by yellow or red posts and/or lines are not water hazards or lateral water hazards. If relief is required in such areas it must be taken in accordance with Rule 28 unless relief is available under some other Rule or Local Rule e.g.

Beautiful golf course and a testing layout, unfortunately the fairways were very scruffy compared to playing there last summer. Members said there was a disease and this hasn't fully recovered yet. Greens and Tee's though, are fantastic, and very different playing a course with no bunkers. But be very wary of the heather, it's super punishing
