I have been involved with the preschool since my eldest daughter started in 2003; I became an active member of the parent committee and saw my other two children also make their way through the preschool. They all grew in confidence and esteem which aided them in their next chapter, "big school".
In 2007 I joined the staff team as the settings administrator; this was to relieve the increasing pressures on committee members who also had their own jobs and lives outside of the growing provision.I completed my Business Administration technical certificate in 2010 and love my job here at Treetops which has since, become more managerial, particularly in the day to day running of Treetops.

Treetops Preschool takes children from 2-5 years. We offer settling in sessions for children new to Treetops to allow them to become familiar with the setting and staff in their own time. We are a two year funding provider (criteria led) and EYPP registered. We also offer 5 spaces of 30 hours.
The Childcare Choices website is a useful resource and has lots of information regarding funding and support to help towards paying for childcare, in particular 20% off when you register for the childcare tax free payment scheme.Treetops is very active in the community and makes the most of getting out and about in the beautiful area that we are surrounded by.

The Breakfast Club runs, 5 days a week term time from 7.45am - 9am and we service our local schools and the preschool. Breakfast is optional and activities follow similar to that of the holiday club with games, craft and outside play. We are hoping that this service will grow so that we are able to feed more schools ourselves in the future.
The after school club is a very popular club, running in term time only from end of school time until 6pm five days a week. Numbers of children have slowly increased with it now being a very busy club full of varied activity. The children who attend really enjoy the sessions which include cooking/food preparation and play based activities again working in line with the Playwork Principles.

Treetops is a wonderful setting for any pre-school child, located in Bridestowe and with a stunning backdrop of Dartmoor. The staff are excellent, taking care to look after every child and encourage and support those that need additional help. They help to deliver what your child needs in a friendly and fun environment. I can highly recommend Treetops; my 6 year old loved it and my 2 year old can't wait to go back after lockdown! Thank you to all the staff - you do an amazing job every day!!

Treetops is a fabulous little community pre school that packs a punch. Both my girls have benefited greatly from attending this setting with staff who really care and are always there to play, help or give a cuddle, just like family. There’s always a huge range of activities indoors and out for the children and the views from the outdoor play area… are unsurpassed! We always looked forward to the annual sports day! Staff have their own specialisms too, making for a strong team. Makaton is widely used and there was often the homey smells of bread baking to greet you at pick up. All

I am so grateful to all the team at Treetops for making my daughters time at Preschool such a positive experience. The staff there have been proactive yet tactful in helping to address some developmental issues and have done all they can to support both me and my little girl. In time this will give her the most positive start at school possible and… I dont think this would have been the case if she hadn't been at Treetops. I would not hesitate to recommend Treetops to anyone. My daughter has really thrived there and all the team are so genuinely caring and approachable.

They impletemented so many different tools to help aid my daughters learning experience. My daughter has a down syndrome diagnosis. They got specialised groups/people in to help with her adjustment into a school/nursery environment. She also had a 1-1 worker. They helped her socially, emotionally, physically and educationally and I can definitely… say that my little girl thrived being there. They were also there for me, to help me with everything. They really gave her a head start when it came to start school, which is something I noticed when comparing treetops with other nurseries. I will
