We are a preschool in Abbots Langley village for children aged from 2 years. We have a strong team of staff and welcome children to join us for an unforgettable experience. We like to do lots of messy activities such as sand, soil, gloop, jelly play, painting, sticking as well as the more traditional dolls, cars, trains, animals and tricycles.
We have a music and movement session every day, a story time and a circle time. We ensure all children are safe, happy, learning and having fun whilst in our care. Staff, parents and our Committee work very hard to make sure every child has a great time at Breakspeare.

Services
At preschool we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to help the children achieve the outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, positive contribution and economic well-being. Each child is assigned a key person. They will be your child's go to person while they settle in and get to know the setting and other staff.
Our staffing team are here to make your child's experience at Preschool as rewarding as possible. We have a team of 10 permanent staff and 2 administrators. 6 members of staff have achieved their Level 3 in Preschool Practice and our Early Years Foundation Stage Leader is a qualified teacher. Our other staff members are very experienced and have been working with us for a number of years.

My eldest started Breakspeare back in 2006 and my youngest started in 2018 & has just left, both took a while to settle in however, the ladies who work at Breakspeare past & present have been absolutely amazing. Helpful, nurturing, informative and all round fantastic at their jobs. Keep up the FANTASTIC work, we will miss you all.

My son has been attending Breakspeare since October, 2018 and absolutely loves it. He has access to a wide range of resources, opportunities that I am unable to provide at home (for example when they had the chicks) and the chance to socialise with older children and adults. He has flourished in confidence and his understanding of the world has… expanded greatly. Noticeably his language is developing all the time, he is often busting out his favourite nursery rhymes and baby shark dance moves at home. Huge credit to the dedicated staff who work tirelessly to really get to know the children
