Young Discoverers is a nurturing pre-school located close to the town centre, in the prestigious purpose built Early Years Centre within the landscaped grounds of South Hill Centre campus.

Hello, my name is Karen Keene and I am the Manager of Young Discoverers Pre-School. I hold a BA (Hons) in Combined Educational Studies and the CACHE DPP Level 3. I am also a busy mum of 4 children and as such I understand the joys and hard work which 4 children can bring.

It is my aim that we at Young Discoverers can support you and share your achievements as parents, as we embark on the start of your child's life long journey of learning and development together.

2 year funding for up to 15 hours free (5 sessions) is available to those who meet the suitability criteria - please ask the manager for details. 3 and 4 year old funding is available for up to 15 hours free (5 sessions) from the term after your child's 3rd birthday. We arrange our waiting list in length of time on waiting list once appropriate age has been reached.

Young Discoverers Pre-School provide care and appropriate education for children from the term after they are two years old until they start school. Parents can choose their sessions flexibly to suit their family and work circumstances dependant on session availability. We maintain a waiting list which is operated on the length of time the child has been on the list.

Great news - Young Discoverers accepts childcare vouchers! Using childcare vouchers really is a simple process and is a great way of being able to afford to pay for child care for your child whilst saving money. A. Providing your company has affiliated with a childcare voucher scheme you can contribute up to 243 a month of your salary towards childcare vouchers which will be exempt from tax and National Insurance Contributions.
