St Luke's Pre-school is a sessional pre-school offering 23 hours a week. We take children from the age of 2 years old and would recommend that you put your child on our waiting list by the age of 1 year as we can be very busy. Children can attend as many hours as parents require, up to the full 23 hours, with a minimum of 3 hours either for a core morning session or afternoon session.
Any child will still be required to attend a minimum of 2 sessions a week as set out in our policies. If a child stays after 12:00 noon, they will require a pack lunch. We have a team of up to 8 staff working at Pre-school and we can take a maximum of 32 children in any session. Pre-school is run by Danielle Wright who has over 18 years' experience in the childcare sector.

Services
On arrival at pre-school the children are greeted at the door and they put their bags in the treasure box and find their name to self-register themselves. Children are then free to play and explore the environment. The children learn through their play and we put the emphasis on learning through play because if a child is happy, relaxed and having fun then they learn more.
The registration forms are only available by calling into St Lukes Pre-school in person to collect them. They are not available online or via email as we like to meet our prospective parents face to face. It also gives you a chance to see the setting and maybe ask any questions you may have when you collect the form.
What age can my child start? We take children from their 2nd birthday. Most children will start in September, but we do have children starting in January and Easter as well. It would be for 2-year funded children who would start the term after they turn 2 years old. When are they funded? Your child will receive the 15 hours government funding the term after they turn 3 years old.
