The Berkeley Hotel
When it comes to 5-star hotels in London, The Berkeley is one of a kind. Stunning interiors by A-list designers, afternoon tea with a twist, service that raises a smile. From the bold, innovative design and Italian marble bathrooms, to individually selected artworks and 'touch me' fabrics, our rooms and suites are the epitome of modern luxury.

There's even more to look forward to in our signature suites, including the stunning glasshouse Grand Pavilion Penthouse designed by Andre Fu. The coveted cakewalk is back. After a short creative break, Pret-a-Portea returns with a joyful and vibrant Spring/Summer '21 collection - and a contemporary twist on afternoon tea.
Services
The Berkeley has been treading its own path for more than 100 years. From here, midway between fashionable Knightsbridge and neighbourly Belgravia, we're still taking style, comfort and service to inspiring new levels. There's nowhere quite like it. And that's the way we love it. Stunning rooms by the brightest minds in the design world.
Following in his patissier father's footsteps, the art of afternoon tea is personal for Head Pastry Chef, Mourad Khiat. Drawing on culinary traditions and catwalk collections from around the world, each delicate creation is an expression of Mourad's impeccable taste. Balancing beautiful flavours with intricate designs for the ultimate statement piece.

Had an incredible experience at the Beach Huts here. We were celebrating and they took excellent care of us. The desserts were the true highlight for me. But the bread and mains were eye-popping and delicious too. Hope to come back for brunch!

I am so blown away by top-notch services we have received from this hotel...

Front desk receptionists and the team lead - our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 4:30pm. Jonathan quickly informed his team lead and offered complimentary refreshment at the Colin's room...

Colin's Room and staff - my husband and I got seated at the Collin's room while waiting for our suite to be ready. When the staff found out that it was my first time in London, she brought out sweets with the decorated writings, "Welcome to London!" It was such a sweet touch... I so loved it...

Came here for afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. Make sure to get a reservation ahead of time since they can fill up, even during the workdays.

They had a great selection of teas and really well done finger sandwiches. The service was prompt and friendly, we even had a chance to talk tea history with one of the servers.

If you are visiting and want a proper high tea, come here. They also do a different fashion theme every 6 months so you can find inspired cakes and desserts by certain fashion trends or designers, I heard the next one is in collaboration with Jimmy Choo!

I had the pret

Great afternoon tea! They are capable of catering to all dietary needs. They made everything for me without gluten, garlic, onion, and any high lactose dairy. The service was outstanding as well. I tried their lemon tea which was very refreshing to start. You can try as many teas as you like. They start your meals with savories. They had numerous sandwiches and three side dishes. Mine were all very similar to the regular menu items. Then after that we had an array of different desserts that were all delicious. If you don't finish everything they give you a nice box to take the food away in

The ambiance is great, the food was not. Desserts we're dry or disgusting and flavorless. The sandwiches were gross. For the price it's definitely not worth going. Service was not good either. Waste of $200.

I was fortunate to attend an event at The Berkeley as well as a high-end wedding show. Our dinner, an Indian themed event, was amazing. The food was delicious, fabulously presented and the service was top notch. The hotel is elegant and luxurious, and the staff is attentive and friendly. the hotel manager, Boris, and his team treated us to an amazing evening!

The sandwiches and starters were really good and I asked for more sandwiches when I finished the first portion. Scones were not included in the set but I ordered and they were served with four jars of jams. The highlight was the desserts. I love the anya bag so much and it also tastes delicious. The service was good and atmosphere was comfortable. I would definitely go there again and recommend it to my friends.

This review isn't for tea time, but is for an actual stay at the hotel. Perhaps the one thing you can expect of such an expensive, high-end hotel is the super professional, on-point service you can expect from the staff, whether the folks at check-in, the concierge, or housekeeping. Here, the Berkeley delivers.

Inside, the rooms have been updated with modern-looking furniture all while still retaining a traditional, cozy, and plush English character. The bathrooms are immaculate, and everything feels fresh and well-maintained. The gym is also decent for a hotel this size.

Food should be inspired by taste primarily. The afternoon tea was sooo pretty to look at. The flavor of the sandwiches and cookies not at all . I wasted my money.

A very nice upscale hotel bar. Met the family here with whom I lived with when I studied abroad in France years ago. We shared one bottle of excellent champagne (those of you who question champagne vs prosecco need only to taste champagne) which was excellent. The drinks came with nibbles such as olives, nuts, and cheese baked crackers. The setting was great for those who want to splash the cash.
I do have to say I would never end up here if I weren't invited. I couldn't imagine what the bill was, but it would be out of my league.

The best and certainly, most creative afternoon tea in London! Pret-a-Portea is everything afternoon tea in such a fashion forward city like this should be.

The Berkeley is everything you'd expect from a high-class hotel, beautiful lobby entrance with friendly door men to welcome you. The staff are smartly outfitted and even if you can't afford to be a guest in one of the rooms, you are treated exactly as if you were.

The dining room itself is beautifully furnished, with plush seating and high backed sofas for larger groups and the staff are extremely attentive and will go above

Pretty disappointing experience and not what I would expect from a high end hotel in Knightsbridge.

I would describe myself as an Afternoon Tea aficionado and have been to the major players but had always wondered about The Berkeley so when a good friend suggested for us to celebrate our birthdays here, I jumped at the chance!

We were greeted in a lovely manner and one you might expect at such a place and seated quickly but then everything seemed to go downhill. It literally took over ten minutes for the waitress to come and take our order to the extent where we had to get their attention and

I am reviewing the outdoor swimming pool at the hotel spa (have not been fortunate enough to stay in the Berkeley) and the afternoon area
Starting with the spa- it is fairly easy to book a day pass (£150/ person) to use the spa, the gym and the outdoor pool
On a day as hot as today I decided to go check the pool out and pretend to be away on holiday (till the actual trip happens) two things strike me at first : how clean the pool area is and how relatively small it was - I arrived at 11:30 and could hardly find any sun lounger to lay on
But later in the day people seem to leave the pool so

Stayed here on business in early September 2010 for three nights. My company's rate got me a small, traditionally decorated and unrenovated room on the 6th floor. The wallpaper and drapes had an ornate, dark green fox hunting motif - I kid you not. That was certainly different. The room was clean and comfortable, and had the all-important flat screen HDTV. The bathroom was a white-marble wonder, beautifully lit and even had a bidet. The room, while elegant in that odd, British traditional way, could use updating.

The public areas of the hotel are quite elegant and the eastern European

I'm not staying here BUT I just got my nails done here, it's my last day in London -- had to do it. AMAZING!!!

If you ever want to get away from the London chaos, come here. The pool upstairs has such a beautiful view, and the echoes of the traffic and bustle is so quiet - it just reminds you of all that you get to leave behind in this little haven.

Service was fantastic, accommodating and just plain lovely. A brilliant way to wrap up my stay here in London! So sad :(
