Cross Lane House is a beautiful old country mansion, set in two acres of mature landscaped gardens in the heart of Rural Sussex in a beautiful and quiet residential area of the village of Ticehurst, East Sussex, and yet within walking distance of local shops, bank and pubs. We are easily accessible from the A21.

The home is within walking distance of the shops of Ticehurst village and is ideally situated for the bus or coach trips to Tunbridge Wells or the south coast. All staff employed at the home receive enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults checks prior to employment.

Cross Lane House offers so much more than just a place for older people to live. We are a vibrant, senior living community that offers care, companionship, comfort and a wide selection of activities, that match individual interests. When people come to Cross Lane House, they lead richer lives, moving from isolation to a community.
Situated in one of Ticehurst's premier residential roads, Cross Lane House Care Home presents a tranquil setting with a large garden to the rear of the property. Easy access is afforded from the front of the property and there is plenty of parking for visitors. The premises consist of an a beautiful old country mansion, providing accommodation for 16 residents.
Here at Cross Lane House we actively offer and encourage our residents to be involved in social activities, either within the home or outside. We encourage the building of relationships between our clients with many developing friendships that are mutually supportive and last for many years. Often our clients choose to sit with friends and acquaintances; this is actively encouraged.
We are lucky to have wonderful staff, led by our very experienced and dedicated Manager, Amanda Newport (Mandy as she likes to be called). Mandy been the Home Manager since 2003. Having worked in the care sector for nearly 30 years, 20 of which at management level.

Mandy's qualifications include National Vocational Qualification Level 2 in care, NEBS in Management level 3, Basic Health and Safety, Food Hygiene First Aid, Manual Handling NVQ Assessor Level 1 in care, NVQ Level 4 in Management/Care Registered Managers award.The care staff consists of trained senior carers and carers.
We look after our residents in the best way possible, in a warm and friendly home-from-home environment, creating a loving atmosphere to meet the needs of all individuals. Here at Cross Lane House we actively offer and encourage our residents to be involved in social activities, either within the home or outside.

Lovely staff, they do a great job. The building is a nice homely environment which is why we chose it for my mother - it does not have the institutional feel that larger care homes have. There are no bad smells often associated with care homes.
