The Burford experience starts when you drive through the gates. The stunning Cotswold property welcomes you with lush green fairways weaving their way through mature trees. Once you step inside the clubhouse the atmosphere is intimate and familiar, while you are overlooking the stunning 18th green, this is a haven for post-golf activity or meeting friends.

Designed by J. H. Turner, the then professional at Frilford Heath Golf Club, the first nine holes of Burford's course were opened for play in May of 1936. The course found instant success but the outbreak of the Second World War halted progress spectacularly. The fairways of the new second nine were ploughed-up for cereal production and were only restored for play in 1949.

With continual tree management, the course now presents mature specimens and younger native varieties to provide a beautiful back drop of colour and shape, particularly in the autumn.
Burford is a thriving and traditional members club offering first class facilities to our members and a warm welcome to visitors and societies. Discerning golfers enjoy the challenge of our superb course which is complemented by excellent catering and bar facilities.

Burford Golf Club has a Professional Shop, with the best products, including all the latest golf equipment such as Ping, Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade & Mizuno with numerous shaft and head combinations and all at very competitive prices. The aim is to enhance your experience, whether it be game improvement, a change in hardware or perhaps clothing both gents and ladies.
Burford Golf Club take great pride in the quality of the ingredients, the detail of the presentation and the variety of choices on offer. Members and guests enjoy the ever popular Sunday Lunch and there is a daily 'Specials Board' and Brunch Menu which invariably provides a range of mouth-watering, freshly prepared dishes from many areas of the world.

We arrived at the course today to be met by a sea of green fairways and tee boxes that looked like greens themselves! It was a real treat after playing our burned bare fairways back on our course in Essex. Everyone was really friendly and helpful including the members. A real treat and we thought better than the Forest of Arden and that's saying something! Don't miss at £45 each!
