Burnside Park self-catering holiday accommodation is ideally located overlooking the picturesque village of Bowness-on-Windermere, right in the heart of the Lake District. Most visitors who use the accommodation travel by car, however, Windermere railway station is under 2 miles from the resort and there are numerous taxi companies able to provide transport from Windermere to the resort.
Approximately four weeks prior to your arrival you will receive your pre-arrival information from the resort, including directions, information on check/check out procedures and contact details. Many of our units have internal and external stairways; if you or any member of your party have walking difficulties please contact the resort well in advance of your holiday.
The guaranteed check in time is 5.00pm, but you are welcome to arrive anytime and if the accommodation is ready by 4.00pm then you will be given access, if it is not ready you can either make use of our Guest Lounge with TV, computer with internet access and a vending machine or you could use the leisure facilities at the nearby Burnside Hotel.
If you expect to arrive after office hours please let us know so we can generate an individual code from the key box outside reception. We will text you the code you will have to use to receive your key. If for any reason your journey is delayed, then please ring the resort so we can text you a code for the key box.
For those who like the freedom of self-catering holidays without compromising on high quality accommodation, Burnside Park Bowness on Windermere is perfect. Self-catering cottages sleep up to 6 persons and all are furnished and equipped to a luxury standard, for example Nespresso coffee machines in every unit.

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Lovely surroundings. But shrubbrey should be better attended to.
Shabby furnishings needed replaced and updated .
Sofa bed very uncomfortable 😕
Has a large dip in the middle.
The metal frame protrudes into your back when lying on it .
Although I did enjoy my stay.
And hopefully these things will be addressed before my next visited.
