We stayed in the big house for the weekend with our family to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday.. the house is absolutely beautiful with attention to detail and very high standards throughout. The grounds are perfectly maintained and the views just stunning.
Perfectly located just minutes from Windermere. A fabulous place to stay, we will certainly return.

Fantastic accommodation in a great location!!. I decided to book a break away to relax and also do a bit of work. My wife and the dog joined me for the 2nd half of the week.
Honeycomb Cottage was perfect !! comfortable, homely, clean, warm, (it was freezing in Windermere) and plenty of space to relax and work. Spacious Kitchen, with everything we needed and 3 bedrooms.
Added bonus, the burner in the living room and accepting dogs.
Also Everything was on the door step with shops, restaurants, bars so perfect location to explore the lake district.
Can't recommend it highly enough !!!

We liked it here at appletree cottage. Yes the steps to gain access are steep at back of cottage and on the stairs too but overall very comfortable and warm. We especially loved the log burner. We didn't have any problem to find a parking space outside in the road. Beds and pillows very comfortable indeed. The weather in January was very kind to us and we did some wonderful walks. Loved Ambleside.

Wow! Loughrigg cottage was even better than expected. It was spotless on arrival which is so important especially in these times. The cottage was really spacious, and the decor was gorgeous. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The location is right in the centre of Ambleside so you can leave your car and there are plenty of great walks from your doorstep. We loved everything about the cottage and will definitely return. Thank you for everything, and for the wine, a lovely surprise! X

We've just enjoyed a week at Peacock Cottage. Absolutely breathtaking! Lakeland Retreats have been fantastic to communicate with. Its been a breath of fresh air compared with other booking agents! They answer the phone straight away, email back sometimes with in minutes and they were so helpful during the covid crisis when we have to move our holiday. Peacock cottage was stunning and in a brilliant location to explore the beautiful Lake District. Thank you!

We had a delightful week staying at The Lawns. The property has everything you need to make you feel at home and the location is just perfect. Opening the curtains on our first morning to see a beautiful Roe Doe and her 2 kids almost within touching distance was a magical start to a perfect week. The garden area is the perfect spot to sit and relax and admire the copper beech trees after a long day walking. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

From now on,this is the *only company* we'll use for booking holidays in The Lakes. We have an upcoming stay and the Customer Service has been 10/10 - if I could mark higher I would. Michelle and her staff couldn't be any more proffessional..as well as friendly..even if they tried. I've just read a copy of 'To Do's' for their cleaning team and hand… on heart you will not get any thorough or better than this so we'll be going with a light heart knowing we're in safe hands during this difficult time. Thank You all - review will be updated once we return from our luxury cottage/piece of heaven

My wife and I are on vacation from Australia visiting the Lakes District. We have stayed at Middlebeck Cottage. I must say Lakeland Retreats have been wonderful. Communication on booking was quick and professional. Checking in was a breeze. A hamper of local produce was a beautiful surprise.We had a problem with our hot water service at 8.00 pm one… night. Within 10 minutes Michelle had arranged for someone to attend and fix the problem. We couldn’t recommend Lakeland Retreats higher. Do yourself a favour and visit the magnificent area of the UK. We will be back one day!

Just a quick note to say thank you so much for an amazing holiday. Peacock Cottage is just so beautiful , a real homely home . . Great location and all the little touches throughout the cottage was fantastic (kitchen, bathroom etc - all there). Thank you for the stunning welcome basket, it was such a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated, that lemon drizzle cake, yummmmm. Hope to be back one day.
