We are at the heart of the village community of Billingshurst. Every activity in the school is intended to ensure your child is happy at this school, loves learning, makes great progress and becomes the best that they can be. Every child is unique and it is this that drives what we do. Every single child has a great talent and we want to help them, with you, find that talent.
We provide a range of activities in sports, music and the arts to develop and encourage a range of talents. We place a high emphasis on basic skills but also in learning to be creative, resilient, independent and adaptable. Please use this site to find out more about what's happening at BPS; you can also follow the school, your year group, maths and English on Twitter and Facebook - just follow the link on each page!

At BPS we believe that children learn best in an environment that understands the uniqueness of each child. Imagination, creativity, security, inclusion and purpose are at the core of learning within our school. We take pride in our inclusive approach and work hard to ensure diversity is celebrated and every single individual enabled to thrive.
Most questions that you have about the school can be answered by your child's teacher or by contacting the Head, or any member of the Leadership Team. The Governors, however, are always happy to hear from you if you have a question or comment about the school. I became a Governor in 2012, initially as a parent governor when both my children attended the primary school and more recently as Co-opted Governor.
The Admissions Policy of Billingshurst Primary School is common to all County Schools in West Sussex. The policy is outlined in the booklet "Information for Parents" which is published by the Authority. If you have not received a copy of this publication you may obtain one by contacting the Pupil Admissions Office (North).
Welcome to Reception and the children's first year at Billingshurst Primary School. The teachers are Mrs Footer (Year Leader), Mrs Aichroth, Mrs Hunt and Mrs Langley. They are supported by Mrs Mason, Mrs Palmer, Mrs Skinner and Mrs Tanner. We know how important a good start is to every child's future and we do everything to give your children the best start here in Reception.
The teachers are Mrs Hampson / Miss Jolley (Year Leader), Mrs Tonkinson and Miss Alford. They are supported by Mrs Wilks, Mrs Dewell, Mrs Camoccio, Mrs Woods and Mr Tickner. In Year One we have worked hard on making the transition from Reception as easy for the children as we can. They continue to access their learning through a multi-sensory approach following the objectives from the new National Curriculum.
