St John's Catholic Primary School
We are privileged to serve our local community and provide education for our children from 4 to 11 years old. The Catholic life of the school and Religious Education underpin everything we do. We nurture a sense of belonging and social responsibility not only to the school and parish but also to the wider community.

As Pope Francis said: "An education in the fullness of humanity should be the defining feature of Catholic schools." Our school is a lovely place where all are welcome and every person is valued. Whatever the needs of your child and whatever special interests they have, we aim to ensure your child thrives, feels safe, has fun and enjoys success.
Services
At St. John's Catholic Primary School we pride ourselves on our welcoming Christian ethos, founded on the teachings of Jesus. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is to 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' St. John's is a place where the Spirit of Christ lives. It is a school where all children are welcomed and each one nurtured in a union of support between school and parish so each may reach their full potential.
I like that there is always an adult to help you when you are feeling sad or need someone to talk to. They will always comfort you and help you feel better. A Highlight of this school most definitely was how we always came together as community and helped each other out not matter what. I wouldn't hesitate about sending my kids here as the teachers and pupils always make me feel safe.
During our meetings we discuss different issues that arise and think of ways to improve our school and how we can help and support others. Discussed how we can change the rewards for our House Point total each half term, making them more personal to the children. Every child in the school voted and the winning house got to watch Toy Story 4. From now on, each house will choose their own reward through voting for their favourite option.
The children who were selected to form our Eco Council were chosen from letters that were written stating why the cause was important for them and outlining what they felt they could do for this important cause. Their first mission is to focus on keeping the doors shut in Winter and to turn unnecessary lights off to conserve energy.
The school maintains strong links with the local parish priest Father Aaron Spinelli, through regular visits to the school and attending masses at St John the Evangelist church in Horsham town centre. We benefit from outreach from the deanery catholic secondary school St. Wilfrid's, which many of our children go on to attend.
