Nestling in the picturesque Nent valley in the North Pennines, Hudgill Farm Barn Cottages are set on a working smallholding two miles distant from the market town of Alston (reputedly the highest market town in England at 1000 feet (330 meters) above sea level). The North Pennines are designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the location of the cottages allows full enjoyment of the wonderful scenery and wildlife.
For those wishing to explore further afield; the Lake District; Northumberland and County Durham are all within an hour's drive. We've had a superb week at Hudgill Farm with the other Bushbys / Selveys next door - such a great set-up for a big family get-together.
