Benhall Farm offers you a taste of the unique atmosphere of a traditional working English farm. Simon ran the farm with his parents until 2001 when he took on the tenancy from his Father. The farm is part of the Duchy of Cornwall Estate purchased in 2000. It comprises approximately 350 acres, with 100 acres added from a neighbouring farm in 2003.
The Georgian Farmhouse provides everything you need for an enjoyable stay with bed and breakfast just 1 mile from the market town of Ross on Wye. Benhall Farm is a unique blend of original character and modern comforts. Our guests often remark how they value the privacy and informality they find - our aim is for you to feel 'at home' and to be well looked after.
The open plan granary comprising of one large room with adjoining shower room is furnished to a high standard with a king sized bed, armchair, settee, pine table and four chairs, a colour television with freeview. Fresh linen is also provided and the kitchen area is very well equipped to help make your stay as relaxing as possible.
The Forest of Dean & Wye Valley website have released a series of exciting new video which show the area off in all its glory, a natural outdoor playground where you are invited to 'make it yours' through heritage, adventure, nature, taste and of course, a lot of fun along the way. 12th century keep, place of a civil war siege, chapel & a maze of rooms with views over the Wye Valley.

Wonderful stay in the farm. The farm is located perfectly - perfectly accessible from the motorway and easy to get to all local sights while being absolutely quiet and secluded. Our room was great. Carol is an exceptional cook and her breakfasts beat any 5-star hotel. Carol knows the area and gives excellent recommendations depending on how you want to spend the time. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Have stayed in one of the two self catering cottages every year for the last 5 years or so. An easy stroll into Ross on Wye town. The White Lion pub by Wilton bridge is even nearer. If you like coarse fishing, then day tickets can be bought from the owner, the river only being a short walk across the field. Hereford and Monmouth are easy drives away.

If you ever get a chance to stay here. Go for it. If you don't book an advance date. One of the best stays in the five years of my life in the UK. One of the best breakfast in the same time period lol. I cannot believe the rooms the view and the beauty of this cottage. Right up to the little road leading up to this mansion. Carol is a very good host and didn't mind the four of us using the breakfast and living room for the fireplace and talking late into the night playing games and trivia. If you get the chance for the super king. Go for it!! And surprise it has an old type of chamber pot what

Lovely place , great breakfasts and we were made very welcome. Big spacious room - shame someone was already booked into the larger room with the four poster bed. Traditionally furnished and has amazing views.
I was a bit put off initially by the fact that it is over the dual carriage to walk in Ross on Wye - but we did it easily and it wasn't dangerous crossing the dual carriage way ( think the pedestrian lights going up will help that too )
