Sometimes in life, people look for ways to improve their physical and mental health. For centuries, yoga has provided a means for people to find a sense of balance and wellbeing. In today's modern lifestyle a regular practice of yoga can help alleviate general back pain, treat the symptoms of mental distress such as anxiety, insomnia and depression; and play a helpful role in regulating the symptoms of premenstrual tension and the menopause.
My name is Rose, and I am an experienced teacher of Iyengar yoga. I run yoga classes during the week at locations in Beckenham and West Wickham, Greater London; and online through Zoom. My overall aim is for students to gradually build strength, improve flexibility and gain a sense of mental well-being and balance.

Services
The classes are carefully planned every week to follow a different sequence of poses so everyone can enjoy the practice safely. Classes begin with a few moments of quiet, followed by poses sequenced to allow the body to build up stamina, strength and flexibility. Students gradually enjoy a greater variety of poses as the weeks and months go by with a deeper understanding of their benefits.

"Yoga with props" is the way I have heard the Iyengar style of Yoga described so with curiosity, a stiff back and fear of it being a bit "hippy dippy" (yoghurt-y as my friend calls it) I headed to the old Church hall where it was being taught.
Any fears of it being taught by someone with their head in the clouds was quickly dismissed when I met the teacher. Rose who teaches the class is a great teacher and the style of Iyengar is ideal for an "impatient beginner" like myself.
The problem with yoga normally is you don't really start seeing benefits till you
