Yoga Bromley offers a range of classes for all levels and for all ages, from beginners to advanced and for seniors also. Join me/Emma in our beautiful retreat space in Glastonbury for in depth introduction to Ayurveda. During this more educational retreat we will have daily morning meditation and yoga and each day we will have a lecture/workshop to give you an in depth introduction to ayurveda and how it can be helpful for understanding ourselves better as an individual and in optimising your health and immune strength.
All our yoga classes follow the Sivananda Yoga Class Sequence a Classical Sequence of Hatha Yoga Postures (Asanas), Relaxation, and Breathing Exercises (Pranayama) originating from India and practiced by yogis and spiritual seekers throughout the ages. The sequence can sometimes be adapted to be in harmony with the different seasons, weather etc.
Somatic yoga is a very gentle and mindful movement practise specifically working on creating freedom and ease of movement in the spine, hips and major joints of the body. It is a soft, mindful practise of repetitive gentle movements that unblocks patterns of deep stress, tension and trauma in the body which allows for easy, pain free movement.
In person sessions take place either at the Ripley Arts Centre, on Sundridge Avenue, or in a beautiful Garden Studio on Ashgrove Rd, Bromley. Emma, ocassionally runs in person workshops at the Deva Yoga Studio in Chislehurst also. Contact Emma to find out the location for the class you are interested in.
For the time being and as it is the summer season, most classes are online which you can see the schedule for below. The class is a little longer and will give us time for some joint mobilisation exercises, breathing practices, a series of yoga poses, guided relaxations and some meditations and positive affirmation practice.
