It's always a bit odd writing about yourself but I'm probably the one non-guest at your wedding that you'll spend the most time is. So it's worth making sure I'm not a weirdo. Or at least - I'm the right kind of weirdo for you! So let me tell you a little bit more about me. I'm based in lovely Lancashire where I live with my husband, our offspring and Bertie the Cavapoo (my third child and possibly my favourite).
Ey up - thanks for visiting my gallery. When you're on the look out for your wedding photographer this should be one of your first stops because style is everything darling. Your wedding images will last you a lifetime so finding a photographer whose style you love and will be happy to have on your wall for ever more is ridiculously important.
It's crammed with just some of the beautiful weddings I've been lucky enough to play a part in. With almost 200 wedding under my belt, there's sadly not nearly enough room to show them all off here. So here's just a few of my recent weddings for you to enjoy. You'll find all sorts of weddings here - chic city centre affairs, village hall weddings full of handmade touches, stylish hotel weddings and everything in between.
It's been quite a while since my own wedding day and in some ways things were much simpler then - mainly because you were expected to stick to tradition and there was much less choice. I'm so jealous of all you lucky sausages getting married today - tradition can be thrown out of the window if you wish and planning a very personal day is much more expected.
Photographers, creatives, small business owners. How lucky are we do what we do? Maybe, like me, you're in the position to do what you love full time. Perhaps that's a dream that seems really far away at the moment. Whatever stage you're in with your business, I'd love to know you, and hopefully to help you a little bit.

Rachel was amazing at capturing every special moment of our wedding day. She listened to what we wanted and made us all feel at ease. All our guests commented on how beautiful the photos are and how clever Rachel was at going unnoticed taking such natural photos throughout the day. We would highly recommend to any couple!

My wife and I got married on the 22nd of September 2020 at Cote How in the Lake District and we couldn't of done it without our amazing photographer Rachel Joyce. She was with us every step of the way. When browsing for wedding photographers in the Lake District, Rachel stood out straight away, her bright, colourful and candid photos were just what we wanted. They are absolutely beautiful and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer to be there on our special day. You were a dream to work with and captured everything and more. We are just over the moon!

Rachel is an amazing photographer who captured our special day exactly how we'd imagined. We are both fairly camera shy, but Rachel put us both totally at ease, and for a lot of the time we barely even noticed she was there! She got the best out of our guests, too. The photos we received were beautifully captured and edited and we love looking at them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone who is looking for a photographer in the north west of England.

Outstanding photographer! Rachel was the perfect choice for our wedding, she has a lovely relaxed style that put us immediately at ease. She captured the feel of the whole day perfectly with a brilliant selection of beautifully edited, candid and posed photos. Rachel provided an excellent wedding photography service. We loved her documentary style photography as it made us feel completely at ease, and also captured some really special moments between our guests that would have otherwise been missed.
We booked to have a pre-wedding shoot as part of our package, and we found this was a great way of getting us comfortable with having our photos taken (as the bride was quite camera shy). Rachel discussed the itinerary for the day and provided insights into what would work. The photos from this shoot and talking with her made us feel confident with our choice

We can't thank Rachel enough for her excellent interpretation of our wedding day - she truly captured the personal essence of the day. I have spoken to many friends who have said their wedding photographer was either bossy, concentrated on small details, didn't give them the shots they wanted or took ages to supply the photos, so needless to say I was nervous about what to expect. However I can say with all honesty that Rachel is fantastic, she is incredibly personable - not once did we feel she was encroaching on our space, she was friendly but assertive.
