Welcome to our outstanding nursery, which was founded in 2006 by Cliff and Julie Davies. Julie has two degrees in early years and over twenty years' experience. The nursery is very much a family run business with their daughter working as deputy manager after working in the baby room for 13 years, their niece works in the baby room, Julie's sister works in every room, her Dad is the caretaker.
We are very proud of the nursery and all the staff that work here, a large percentage have worked at Best friend's day nursery for over ten years. Clare Bullimore is the manager who ensures the staffs personal development is a priority.

Services
Best Friends Day Nursery has been awarded the I CAN accreditation which is an award to show that our nursery supports speech and language, we have also been awarded a food hygiene level rating of 5. We offer places for 3 and 4 year old funded children, and due to a recent high ITERS rating can now offer 2 year old funded places.
We pride ourselves on providing all our children with a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet cooked on site daily. Our Cook, Jenny along with the kitchen team, ensures the children receive their recommended 5 portions of fruit and vegetables per day. We have a vegetable garden where the children can plant, take care of and sample the vegetables they help to grow.
We believe that childhood is a precious time and our baby room team who are all mum's themselves and fully qualified, are dedicated to ensuring you and your baby benefit from a happy and positive nursery experience. We have a strong key person and buddy system in place which ensures your baby can form secure attachments to a person who will love, care and provide for them during their day.
Two-year old's are very curious and love investigating the world around them; the room is well equipped with a good range of exciting and stimulating toys and games. This room follows the early years foundation stage curriculum. The planning is done from the interests of the children, parents contribute by passing on information of what children's interests are at home.
Our pre-school children are now becoming experts in many areas of learning and are incredibly resourceful both indoors and outdoors. In preschool we start our journey in preparation for school. Activities are planned by the staff include introduction to letters and numbers and encouragement to explore technology.

I highly recommend Best Friends. The staff team present themselves as warm and dedicated professionals. Staff worker Lyndsey Woodfine verbally abused my child, to the extent that she didn't want to attend and cry as soon as you mention its time for nursery. I had to change and find a more reliable nursery in the area. Horrid woman ! Not the best start for a child's development is it? I complained and then received a threatening abusive phone call from this disgusting person
