As well as for our pre-school children, we are able to open our out of school club for children at Kelvedon Hatch School for all keyworkers. Services
At Hopscotch, we offer a safe, secure and rich learning environment for all children to develop and thrive ensuring we work alongside parents, carers and families at all times. We have an embedded system to ensure a key person is allocated to every child before they join our Nursery. The key person completes regular observations which are used to complete planning for the individual child's next steps.
Hopscotch is primarily an outdoor nursery. We let our children decide where they would like to play and learn and the majority are usually to be found in our amazing garden - even in the winter! Of course they are suitably dressed in this case as we provide all in one puddlesuits for them to use and keep them warm when they are outside in the colder months.
For more information we suggest you and your child come along to visit the nursery and see what we have to offer. We believe that each child is an individual and deserves the best start in life so prior to starting at nursery formally, we suggest your child comes along to visit a few times for settling in sessions.
You are welcome at any time to call, or email us but best of all why not just pop in with your child when you're passing? If you need to visit outside our normal hours then just contact us as this can be arranged. Take the A128 from Ongar towards Brentwood for nearly four miles. Pass the Secret Nuclear Bunker on the right and take the next road on the left into School Road at the traffic bollard.

My little girl who is just over a year old started at Hopscotch Nursery last month, she goes in one day a week in which she absolutely LOVES!! She is one of the youngest there but gets so much attention by all staff! I must say Laura and the team are so friendly and professional, they keep me updated with Tapestry constantly which keeps my mind at… eas. They do so many lovely activities with my girl that she loves. I new from the moment I stepped into Hopscotch that this was the nursery my girl would love, we haven’t looked back since.
