Services
All of our staff are either NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board) or equivalent, or participating in the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Early Years and Childcare. I've had a lot of experience in good and outstanding nurseries previous to joining the Monkey Puzzle family. I am level 3 qualified in childcare and also have a level 4 qualification in leadership and management.
Our nursery facilities are divided between 3 floors according to the child's age and stage of development. Our baby room is homely, cosy and equipped with natural and sensory materials to encourage them to explore their ever growing senses. Our baby environment provides all they need to crawl, roll, shuffle and support their development in all areas of learning.
At Monkey Puzzle day nursery we strongly believe that a healthy, balanced diet is essential for growth and development in under 5's. This prompted us to consult with a paediatric nutritionist to formulate a menu that will help give your child the best start in life. All fruit, vegetables and meat products are sourced by a local provider.
All children at Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries are encouraged to learn through play. Our Curriculum covers all the key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage and is designed to meet the needs of each individual child. We follow the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which sets the standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth up to 5 years of age.
We are eligible to receive government funding so children can have 15 hours FREE education and care per week, starting the term after their third birthday. We looked at lots of nurseries in Billericay before finding Monkey Puzzle and it was a very easy decision to chose to send the girls there. It’s a big decision to make and for me the biggest and most important thing is how happy the team are and how much they clearly care for the children. It had by far the best, most homely atmosphere, but where children can thrive, learn and develop and both my children have been and are very happy there.

My daughter has been attending here for nearly 6 weeks after moving from another nursery and I can hand on heart say that this is the happiest she has been. She enjoys the daily activities that are provided, especially the phonics, which she mentions all the time. The daily routine is great and there's always plenty for the children to do. The… atmosphere is always welcoming, and she is always very happy to go, even asking to go on weekends! All the staff are all very friendly and are always happy to help with any issues. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
