Services
Wind in the Willows Nursery and Preschool deliver an organised and balanced learning platform. All children are competant learners from birth and they develop in a variety of ways, which is why we look carefully at their care, consider their needs and interests and assess the information to help plan an enjoyable learning experience across all areas of development.
We work along the government guidelines for the foundation stage, these are delivered withn a broad and balanced curriculum. We aim to organise our activities so that all children work at their own level, some of which are child initiated. The provision for children's development and learning is guided by the Early Years Foundation stage(EYFS).
Our setting has a duty under the law to help safeguard children against suspected or actual "significant harm". All of our access points are secured with systems in place to record all of the attendance both "In and Out" of our premises.
All of our team have obtained a fully enhanced CRB/DBS disclosure and we have effective systems in place to ensure that all staff and any other person to have regular contact with children within our setting are suitable to do so.Our team participate in our induction programme and attain the knowledge of our child protection procedures and health and safety procedures.

We are pleased to announce our Ofsted Inspection Rating as "Good" which has been thankfully received to show our recognised and professional team setting. Ofsted came to visit us with a warm welcome shortly after our move to the new location. 2012 has given us our shining award to promote our succesful running of the nursery and pre-school.

My daughter goes there. She loves the place, enjoys the attention and care she receives. Every day after nursery I ask her how her day was and with shiny eyes she tells me all. Who she played with, what she made or what activity she partiicipated in. She always feels excited and happy. All in all it tells me that the staff is excellent and I feel the place is the best for my little girl. Well done all of you ladies. Keep up the good work and thank you so much. God bless you.

Fab nursery, pre school and after school club. My son had been coming since he was 2. The staff are fabulous, caring and thoroughly committed to their work. It’s a god send for a working parent to have someone they can rely on. Adaptable and helpful even sometimes at short notice they go the extra mile. Wind in Willows are excellent and wholeheartedly recommend them all. X
