Little Adventurers believes each child's unique needs must always be at the heart of our ethos and practice. We will do all in our power to nurture and encourage each little one's developing personality by understanding and supporting their individual ways of learning. At Little Adventurers our highly skilled staff understand that all children need warm and trusting relationships to feel safe and secure and will therefore always seek to create a family atmosphere which fosters self confidence and self esteem.
Services
In Discoverers (0-2s) the youngest children will begin to learn about the world through their senses, cared for by staff who create a home from home feel and follow individual sleep and food routines. Staff will enable each little one to thrive and build firm foundations for the future.

Each day is a new day of discovery when you are little and our safe and stimulating play spaces will encourage active learning, times of rest and emotional wellbeing.Sensory play including water, painting, music and songs will feature regularly. In Explorers (2-3s) the children will be continue to explore the world around them, both inside and outdoors.
At Little Adventurers we want to ignite children's curiosity and make learning fun, through play based investigation, exploration and discovery! For children under three (Discoverers and Explorers) this is done through learning about ourselves, being with others, learning to communicate and lots of movement and being active (these are called the Prime areas of learning as they underpin all other learning).
We recognise that each baby and child will have differing routines and aim to follow their personal sleep and feeding patterns wherever possible. Nappy changing and potty training will be responsive to each child's needs and so working closely with parents we will take care to ensure that personal care routines are followed sensitively by the child's key person and their buddy (secondary key person).
As children grow they begin to need more opportunities to develop their increasing skills and knowledge. At this age becoming independent, learning to share and take turns as well as becoming more adept at making their needs known are aspects of learning we work hard to foster. Time for rest and sleep will also be a feature of this room, as growing minds and bodies need time to stop and re-energise.
Developing imaginative skills through role play, making up stories and constructing will be important parts of our day. Fundamental understanding of early literacy and maths and ICT concepts will be taught through play based activities that are fun and challenging. Because children are curious by nature opportunities to find out about the local community will be an important element of learning.
