Services
We also accept the 11 digit codes for 30 hours funded childcare, but this is not offered on a term time only basis and will be stretched throughout the 52 weeks that the nursery is open, providing 21.92 hours of funded childcare per week. Parents are able to apply for their codes through the childcare choices website, where they can also register for the tax free childcare scheme.
Being able to communicate is one of the most important skills we need in life. Almost everything we do involves communication; everyday tasks such as learning at school, asking for food and drink, sorting out problems, making friends and having fun. These all rely on our ability to communicate with each other.
When youregister a child we will charge a one off 25:00 administration fee and a deposit of 100:00 per required days. For example for a 4 day per week place the deposit would be 400:00 plus 25:00 or for 2 days a week the deposit would be 200:00 plus 25:00. The registration fee is non refundable. The deposit is used to secure the space and it will not be refundable should the parent choose not to take up the reserved place at nursery.
Our Baby/Toddler 1 room is a large open plan room with a specific area for babies and another area for toddlers, children in this room are aged between 3 months and 2.5 years. Children from 3 months - 2 years are classed as our babies and children from 2 years - 2.5 years are classed as our toddler 1's.
At Over The Rainbow Day Nursery meals are prepared and cooked daily onsite by our experienced chefs in our open plan kitchen using only the freshest and finest ingredients. All our meals are carefully planned to provide optimum nutrition and to meet the individual dietary needs of each child.
We believe that meal times are great opportunities to develop social skills and good manners, as well as an opportunity to introduce children to new taste experiences.Staff and children eat together and share in the laying and clearing of the dining tables. We believe that this shared experience helps build a sense of responsibility and self-confidence in the children, it also helps to reinforce our "home from home" atmosphere.

The staff and environment at this nursery cannot be praised enough. My 2.5 year old son attended this setting for almost one year, after which we moved to another area. The kindness of the nursery's manager (Laura) and her staff goes above all expectations - she was always there to answer any questions you have about your child or to provide guidance & advice about my son's development.
The nursery provided a warm, nurturing and educational place for my son and I highly recommend it to all parents. He was sad to leave it, and we hope that our new nursery is as good as Over The Rainbow Nursery

Absolutely wonderful nursery - my son absolutely loved it here was so sad to leave (moving house). My son started at around 11 months old and it was so reassuring to know he was in safe care and having a wonderful time. The staff are always lovely and caring and tell you what your child has been upto that day. I loved the little sheet they give you daily of the activities that they have done, eaten and changed. Would 100% recommend! Thank you Over The Rainbow!

My son Logan has come along leaps and bounds since starting at over the rainbow. Apart from how far he’s come it was a great comfort to me that he found comfort with all the ladies that take care of him when he’s distressed and I absolutely love that when Logan does something good they are just as excited as my husband and I. It just shows how much they care and are invested in our child’s triumphs as well as encouraging him when he falls short. I am so grateful to all the staff for their care and understanding and will be sending my new baby boy when his time comes too.

My little girl has been enrolled at OTR for over three years and is only leaving shortly as we have moved house - too far to commute. It was a really tough decision to move pre schools as the staff here are absolutely wonderful and she adores them. The nursery has brought the best out of my little girl and her key-workers have been warm, friendly and professional. We get regular updates on her development and she absolutely loves the sports sessions and circle time which the nursery puts on.

Both my children attended Over the Rainbow day nursery and I cannot speak highly enough about the management, the staff, the care, the fun, the development, day to day information sharing, tapestry, the food served - THE LIST IS ENDLESS.
My eldest had health conditions and management and staff took all measures to safeguard his wellbeing. My children throughly enjoyed attending this nursery.
Management also provided FREE extra circular classes like language lessons, music bugs, star sports. Thank you for making my children happy, for helping them to grow physically ,mentally & emotionally.

I was very unsure about placing my two year old daughter into a nursery and she went from being in a private child minder and that didn't go very well, she suffered some injuries to her scalp. So I was very relaxant to put her in to another child care provider but the owner of over the rainbow day nursery Laura was very reassuring when I went for my induction she reassured me that everything will be fine and she'll settle fine and she' will do well, and believe it or not my daughter learning has developed so well that I am actually upset that I have to pull her out due to me moving and the distance

Our daughter spent 4 very happy years at Over The Rainbow - it was like moving away from family on the day she left to go to school. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them! We used to love the daily update book/sheets, the pictures and development in Tapestry, the friendly welcome from all the staff and the care they showed to our daughter.

Our daughter has been attending Over The Rainbow Nursery for almost a year now. As a qualified social worker who has worked in child protection it was imperative that our daughter was placed in a happy environment where safeguarding is paramount and she would be encouraged to develop. Over The Rainbow have ensured that she settled in well and has a key worker who she felt secure and happy with.

I moved to Havering 4 years ago searching for a nursery for my then 3 & 1 year old. My 3 year old had already attended an outstanding nursery so I was fully aware of what I wanted. I searched and searched AND searched but to no avail..........UNTIL I met with Laura and Over the rainbow day nursery. instantly I knew this was the nursery for my children.

Fantastic nursery, highly recommended. As a teacher myself and being very aware of the importance of safeguarding, stability and a happy, great stimulating environment I am so pleased with the amazing care and security my daughter receives on a daily basis .
The staff are all so friendly and caring and you can see the manager really cares and will do her upmost to accommodate. Great communications regards my daughter's progress and weekly activities...the smile on her face at the beginning and end of the day says it all. One very happy daughter...and Mummy.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough! My daughter has been here for 3 1/2 years and as she goes into her last month at Over the Rainbow we will all be very sad to have to say goodbye at the end of the month! The nursery setting is lovely, the team are all brilliant and have such a great bond with the children and Laura puts so much work into ensuring the learning is varied but most of all is fun 😁. Thank you to everyone for making us feel part of the Over the Rainbow family for the last 3 1/2 years!
