Ashley is a large primary school for children aged between 4 and 11 (Reception to Year 6). We benefit from a huge site which includes a large playing field and a Forest School, where children experience outdoor learning. Our first newsletter has been emailed to parents/carers today and is in the parents - newsletters section on this website.

The functions of the Trust Board of the Good Shepherd Trust are to lead strategy development, hold the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and his team to account, operate within financial constraints, define an overall vision for GST schools, meet the governance compliance required by law and create a strong, effective governance structure on the board and in schools.
By Car: Ashley is based in the centre of a busy town centre and our on site car park is for staff only. Double parking is not allowed. If you are visiting by car there are a few free 2 hour parking bays opposite the school and a three hour bay on Ashley Road by Stompond Lane.
If you are unable to find a free space, there are paid parking spaces as you travel past the school on the one way system, turn left onto New Zealand Avenue and left again onto Ashley Park Avenue (behind the old Homebase site) and also The Heart shopping centre.Parents can request a paper copy of any information provided on this website, free of charge, please contact our School Office.

We welcome children into school from 7.30am at our breakfast club. This is classed as childcare and we charge for attendance, which includes a freshly-cooked healthy breakfast. The main gates open for a 'soft start' to the day for children at 8.40am. Gates close at 9.00am and all children should be in their classrooms at 9.00am.
