Cardinal Newman is a two-form entry Catholic Primary School and is a welcoming community that serves the parishes of All Saints, Hersham and St Erconwald in Walton, fostering close links between families, school and parishes. Children who join our community experience a rich, imaginative and enjoyable curriculum with high expectations for achievement and behaviour.
I would encourage you to visit the school to experience the warm, friendly and caring environment that enables our children to flourish and prepares them to carry on in their learning journey with confidence and self-esteem. To be a community of learners, believers and friends rooted in the values and teachings of the Gospel.

Services
We are a community of learners, believers and friends rooted in the values and teachings of the Gospel. We seek to enable every individual to develop to his or her full potential in the knowledge that they are uniquely created and loved by God. Cardinal Newman Catholic Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
We believe in early identification so that a need can be addressed appropriately. Many children only need short term help. We assess children and learning programmes are designed to suit the need. Basic skills are reinforced and consolidated. Long term help is also provided for those who have significant or ongoing needs.
During the course of each child's education at Cardinal Newman they will be given the opportunity to study many subjects. These are broken into two main categories. The core curriculum subjects are English, Mathematics, Science, Information & Communication Technology and Religious Education. The foundation subjects are Design & Technology, History, Geography, Music, Art and Physical Education.
At Cardinal Newman we strive to provide a Creative Curriculum that is broad and balanced reflecting the learning styles and needs of the individual pupils within a Catholic environment based upon the Gospel Values. A Creative Curriculum enables a proportion of the curriculum to be taught through carefully planned and well-structured themes or units of work, in which subjects are linked and contribute to the development of key ideas and skills.
