The first years of your child's education are precious and should be filled with a joy of learning. We pride ourselves on knowing and understanding every child so that we can craft our provision to meet their needs whilst helping them to appreciate their own uniqueness and developing a strong sense of self-worth.
Services
Our school community is made up of 3 parallel classes in every year group from Reception (aged 4-5 years) all the way up to Year 6 (aged 10-11 years). This makes us one of the larger schools in Spelthorne and means we are uniquely placed to offer our children every opportunity to form numerous friendships and, at the end of their time with us, make a confident and smooth transition to secondary school.
The Before School Care timings are 7.35am-8.30am. There are two options for the After School Care, Option 1, collect at 4.30pm and Option 2, collect at 6pm. These are run mainly by Echelford staff, in this way we are able to offer consistency and continuity to the children. You are able to book now and payment must be made via Wisepay 24 hours in advance of the sessions required using your Wisepay account.
We believe children learn best within the context of a home-school relationship built on trust and open and honest dialogue. Key messages in terms of the expectations of this relationship are captured in our Home School Agreement which we ask all parents to sign at the outset of their relationship with our school.
Despite the significantly raised expectations of the 'new' Curriculum introduced in 2014, we have either matched or exceeded National Standards in all areas of our provision. 2020 & 2021 Results: due to the national lockdown, no formal assessments took place during the 2020 and 2021 summer terms. Please refer to our 2019 assessment results for our latest published data.
The purpose of this code is to provide a reminder to all parents and visitors about expected conduct so that we can work together to ensure safe and positive environments for our children. This includes approaching the school to resolve any issues of concern and to discuss and clarify specific events in order to bring about a positive solution.

I have 2 of my children going here. The school has come a long way over the past 18months and I am very happy to put it down for my 3rd child in the next coming years.
My children are doing so well in the educational department and the school have a good after school activity plan too.
The staff are friendly and helpful they encourage learning and getting the best out of the children.

Wonderful school with fantastic staff who create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. My child gets on amazingly here and has a very positive experience. We came to the Saturday session for children starting school in Sept 18 and it was great. The children were able to play in the reception area and had fun playing with you all the lovely resources.

This school was my primary school I think throughout my whole experience being at Echelford was alright because one of the best headteachers left and things started to fall apart but then a lovely new headteacher came in and she made the place very nice and educational for us to learn, she is till running Echelford . Without of our old head and new head thins place would be torn apart. I say this is a very educational place for your child to learn you get to experience a lot of things!!!!

An amazing school! Every member of staff is prepared to go the extra mile to get it right for the children. The care they've given to our children is second to none. Mrs. McCarthy, Mrs. Vernon and the whole team have taken a school that was in a terrible state and turned it into something really special.

Too many pupils, school management not able to handle. On our visit ! The person was kind enough to show us around including the toilets which was smelling of pee very badly and answers all questions. Ofstead Report over 3 - 4 years has not show any signs for improvement. If you live in this area and you can't be bothered the take your kid for a better school within 5 miles radius. This is the first choice of your school.
