Services
At Charing Church of England (Aided) Primary School, we work in partnership with our parents to develop every child's learning and to "unlock every child's ability to achieve beyond his/her expectations". We aim to make school a positive experience for all children through enjoyable, interesting and stimulating activities and learning.
It is important that children are in school as much as possible. Every day that they miss, is a day of learning that won't be repeated and often can't be 'caught up'. We aim for every child to have an attendance of at least 95% across the whole year. We reward children who achieve this each term, and across the whole year.
Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. Charing Church of England Primary School is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for children, staff and visitors and promoting a climate where children and adults will feel confident about sharing any concerns which they may have about their own safety or the well-being of others.
Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills. They inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people, and services providing education and skills for learners of all ages. Their goal is to achieve excellence in education and skills for learners of all ages, and in the care of children and young people.
Pupil Premium is an allocation of funding from the Government that is given separately to the main school budget. The government provide this money to help school address the current national underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM) and their peers. The funding is to ensure that provision is in place for those disadvantaged children who need it most.
