The Bell's Team is Meg, Lucy, Nigel, Katy, Colin and Matt. Our interests are diverse and our backgrounds equally so, but we are brought together by our shared love of cycling, engineering and design. Meg founded Bell's in 2008 with the plan to source the most beautiful, easy to ride and simple to maintain bikes from around the world.

Services
As the UK leaves the EU there are now additional charges our European customers will be expected to pay in the form of duties and taxes. We have outlined below the most commonly asked questions regarding buying from outside the UK. Upon arrival, all EU countries will charge tax (VAT) on your order unless it is zero rated - see the table below for your local VAT rate.
At Bell's we specialise in vintage bike restoration and offer every level of restoration to all bikes, in any condition. We have a dedicated restoration workshop with specialist knowledge and a network of partnering companies who we work with to provide chroming and paint finishes. We are based in Hastings, East Sussex although we restore bikes globally and can provide an estimate from photos.
It's easy to purchase a bike through The Cycle to Work Scheme it can also save you up to 40% when buying a bike plus accessories that you plan to use as your ride to work. Your employer buys the bike and you pay towards it monthly from your gross salary. Overall your salary is reduced and so is your tax bill - hence the savings.
If you fancy a spin along the prom then you can hire one of our bikes / scooters and see East Sussex on two wheels. Booking isn't essential but we do work on a first come first serve basis and the fleet does get booked up, especially at weekends and during the summer season. Your Bobbin Gingersnap has arrived and all that's left to do before the cycling adventure begins is to get it road worthy. So, in what right now may be a head scratching time we thought we would share with you our step by step method to assembling your Bobbin Gingersnap. The Gingersnap featured in this tutorial is the 16 but it can also be applied to teh whole of the Bobbin kids range.

What an absolute dream team these guys are! Spent ages trying to find a bike shop that could help me during lockdown and was stuggling to get any help anywhere. Stumbled across Bell's and with one email to Meg and I was on my way! They were so helpful with my choices and I'm now the proud owner of my first (adult) bike!! Outrageous service, ordered a bike 3weeks ago with agreement that it will be delivered 3 weeks after order. Have been in touch with them for progress and payment details over these weeks only to be informed today after 3 weeks have passed and I have enquired them regarding my bike, just to say that it has been delayed and I need to wait 5-6 weeks more for it. They have taken a deposit for the bike from day 1 "to secure it", processed payment through my workplace through bike2work scheme and waited till invoice was paid to say they don't have my bike. Customer service useless, phones switched off

Bell's Bicycles is a dream! After having a bad experience with a local bike shop in London, I was on a search to find the perfect bike for me and I found it at Bell's. I ordered my bicycle online and emailed the shop the the next day to just confirm that the bike was in fact mine. Instead of an informal email back, Renee rang me with the great news that I bought a bike! She told that I would probably receive my bike in about 2 weeks time and it arrived not even 5 days later. I just wanted to say the Bells Bicycles are amazing, having a group of 10 we decided to hire some bikes. It was the best day cycling along the seafront. Bells Bicycles were so lovely, helpful and made our stay in Hastings one will treasure for a long time. Thank you Bells. I would recommend you to anyone. We live in Maryland in the USA and we LOVE our Pashley bike!! There were no dealers anywhere near me so I contacted Bell's Bicycles in the UK after seeing their website. Many are probably leery of buying a big
ticket item online from overseas, but this was so easy and worked out perfectly. Meg and her team at Bell's pulled it all together and even got the doggie basket which I could not get in the U.S. Everything was shipped directly to my local bike shop who did the final bits of getting it all together. And, the whole transaction actually cost me less than trying to find a dealer in the U.S

Beware of ordering online from this shop. They have charged me £20.00 for postage when Royal Mail's actual charge was £12.50 - when contacted, they've refused to refund the £7.50 they overcharged, alleging hidden taxes and fees that businesses incur to justify the overcharge. Not a very honest online trader - best to avoid.

Bells Bicycles is a truly special place, Meg the Owner and Nigel the mechanic, as well as the other lovely people that work there are brilliant, charming and most importantly knowledgeable and passionate about all things bicycle.
