Irby Mill
First opened in 1980 our traditional sandstone pub is located on the site of a former wind mill and holds a lot of fascinating history. Today, you will find a warm cosy atmosphere with lots to offer from our extensive menu of home cooked, real pub food. As an award winning real ale pub, we pride ourselves on our fine selection of 8 carefully kept real ales.

The beer garden is the perfect place to relax on a warm summer's day with friends and family. We also welcome our four-legged friends in the beer garden and the bar area. At the Irby Mill we ensure we use fresh food wherever we can, we use a carefully chosen group of local suppliers to make sure that the food we send out to you is of the highest possible quality.
Services
Here at the Mill we 8 Cask Ale taps featuring some of the finest breweries in the uk. We have some old favorites such as Rev James & Abbot that are generally on permanently, and then a great range of seasonally changing Ales. We succeed at keeping our ales at the highest possible standard and we have been rewarded with the Cask Marque of Excellence as well as a local Camra award.
The Irby Mill is surrounded by some of the lovliest countryside on the Wirral all within walking distance of our pub. Starting from our carpark there are several glorious walks and bike rides which take you very quickly from the road to footpath through farmland and parkland. Most of the routes are easily walkable and can be planned as circular routes.

Friendly atmosphere, both main meals were perfect. Service excellent. Was definitely worth a visit. Beer was excellent as you would expect from a camra registered pub. Will definitely be visiting again.

Nothing special with regards the food as I was expecting a high standard after the reviews. But the thing that was very surprising was how expensive the wine was on the final bill, over £19 for two large glasses of wine in a pub was far too expensive.

A lovely return to this fabulous public house to celebrate our mums 90th birthday. Excellent service and exceptional food. Just a shame I was driving so couldn't enjoy the amazing choice of cask ales. Thank you for looking after us so well.

Lovely little place that was far busier than I expected on a Random Tuesday afternoon. Muffs sausages always a highlight, and would also recommend the fish and chips lunch. The veg soup was honestly really bland but on a cold day it really warmed the bones (plus it was much improved when you dipped the sausage sandwich in...!).
Staff lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Will absolutely be coming back.

Really good home cooked independent food, and a nice independent pub. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice and warm. However…. That is supposed to be blue cheese sauce with the burger. It looks and tasted like pepper corn. I raised this and was told no its definitely blue cheese. So either really bad sauce or a forgetful chef. It definitely had no cheese in. Other than that I can’t fault, the food was so good and staff really welcoming

The location on the map is not accurate. However the Irby Millis a gem of a country pub. Food is verging on gastro-pub quality and the beers are varies and always in top condition. Highly recommended. Car park can get full and a tlunch time can be a little full of "loud business types"
