Wessex Equine is a dedicated equine practice that has been established with a simple aim in mind - to bring high quality veterinary care to your horse. We cover the region of: Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire, Avon and East Somerset. Our 9 vets are dedicated equine clinicians, experienced in dealing with all types of horse from international competition horses to children's ponies.

Services
Wessex Equine was established in 2011 in order to meet the need for a high level, first opinion veterinary practice to cover the Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire and Avon area. A branch practice was set up in 2018 to cover our South West catchment area. Team of 10 equine vets, 4 of whom are directors.
We guarantee that if you call Wessex Equine, you will see a Wessex Equine vet, 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. We do not share our out of hours work with any other practices. Our vets are all experienced equine practitioners, who deal only with horses. They are used to treating top class race and competition horses, yet happy dealing with children's ponies.
Wessex Equine provides a full range of first opinion care where both leisure and professional clients are equally accommodated and cared for. As well as offering services often confined to referral centres such as gastroscopy and laser sarcoid removal. Here at Wessex Equine we do not share our out of hours service with any other practice, therefore you will always see one of our team of vets, 24/7, 365 days a year should you require a visit. In the event of an emergency outside of normal office hours please call our office number 01793 739220 as normal where you will be diverted to our out of hours team who will take your call and one of the vets will be in contact.
Wessex Equine provide us with a professional/ personal veterinary service and support us with all aspects of our rare breed pony stud and our polo ponies. It is a huge comfort to have such a fantastic team working with our valuable equines. We have been with Wessex Equine since they started and couldn't be more pleased with the service they provide.
