We are an independent, family-owned veterinary practice on the outskirts of Devizes, Wiltshire. Our focus will always be on high-quality, compassionate care. We want what you want: for your pet to be in tiptop condition throughout their life, from birth to senior years, so they can enjoy life to the full.
We have excellent facilities for long-term hospitalisation of patients in comfortable accommodation with round-the-clock expert nursing care. Our canine patients stay in a large air-conditioned ward with kennels suitable for all sizes of dog; there are bathing and showering facilities and access to the secure garden.

We have been awarded the highest level of HOSPITAL standard with FIVE "Outstanding" awards for service. The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK.
I first met Ian and Jacky Macqueen when they looked after my cat family at Mr. Geering's practice in Melksham many years ago. So when we moved to Devizes, I was delighted that our move coincided with them purchasing the practice in New Park Street. My cats could continue to be cared for by the vets they knew and loved.

Further to the debacle following my dog being overdosed by Macqueens (see previous Google review 29 April 2021) Ian Macqueen has now not even acknowledged my follow-up email. This is yet another example of poor service and now blatant rudeness. If Mr Macqueen is hoping I will get bored and quietly go away he is sadly mistaken.

Awful. Our dog was overdosed by Macqueens, resulting in incontinence which lasted for weeks. Mr Macqueen stated it was an "unrelated issue" even though it happened within couple of hours of the overdose. He failed to diagnose the "unrelated issue" but another practise diagnosed that an acute kidney injury had occurred. Also tried to overcharge us - for double the amount of over-prescribed drug and even for an injection given to another animal. When we complained Mr Macqueen refused to talk to us through RCVS mediation service. Shocking all round. Would give zero rating if I could.

Wish I could give 6 out of five stars for the staff alone. They were friendly and helpful, the nurse who was on duty overnight was fantastic helping us out with updates. Don't go to the vets often so can't comment on how prices compare to elsewhere but the couple of times we have been here they seemed good. But it's the staff that makes this my first choice. Some brilliant.
