Purton Vets
Most of our clients join us because of a recommendation by someone they know who has used us. I would definitely recommend Purton Vets to anyone who wanted the best treatment and care which Graeme and the team provide. On each occasion I am more than satisfied with how Odey my Manchester Terrier is always remembered.

He's the best at behaving during his appointments! I know if I had to move I'd be lucky to find a practice as dedicated and personable. Just a note to say a very big thank you for the excellent service! It was a pleasant surprise to meet a vet who was patient & helpful as well as arranging a discount that made our dog's treatment affordable - greatly appreciated!
Services
We like to involve you in your pet's care, with full explanations of your pet's treatment plan. We have consultations 7 days a week with 15 minute appointments, which means we have more time for you. We are amongst a few practices in the country to have a Gold Standard Cat Friendly Practice Award. Our facilites are of the highest standard with seperate patient wards for different species.
Located in the village of Purton and Cricklale, Purton Veterinary Group is a family practice priding itself on offering a level of client and patient care second to none. The practice was established in 1985 as a mixed farm and small animal practice. Graeme Pack joined as clinical director in 2002 and the practice then specialised in companion animals.
At Purton Vets, we are able to provide a complete range of surgical and medical procedures including dermatology, cardiology, medicine, diagnostic imaging, cytology, clinical pathology, soft tissue, orthopaedic and keyhole surgery. We have visiting specialists in ophthalmology and orthopaedics. We hospitalise patients with serious illness and monitor them day and night according to their individual needs.
These services are offered in the local area and we hope you find what you are looking for. The businesses listed are not specific recommendations by Purton Veterinary Group and we ask you to use your own judgement in choosing a service provider. When looking for pet sitters, dog walkers or groomers, it is a good idea to ask whether they are insured.
There is always someone who will do it for less, whatever, whoever and wherever 'it' is. We offer affordable care for your pet but will not always be the cheapest because that's not what we're about. We're about value. Our fees represent a fair price, especially when you take into account what's included as standard in everything we do.

Oskar is always so excited to visit the people at Purton Vet. His tail starts wagging as soon as we hit the roundabout. He started what is going to be monthly injections during our most recent visit. The vet let him see and smell the syringe and immediately rewarded him. Over and over. When it came time for the shot, the vet did it so fast even I missed that it happened. I’m so grateful he took the time to help Oskar be comfortable with something that could otherwise be a dreaded monthly chore. We have consistently received this high level of attention and care over the years we have brought

Would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their kindness and understanding with our very anxious border collie Flynn who came in today. He was given lots of time and patience by the lovely team members there to make his visit today as calm and positive as possible for him. Thank you so much for taking care of our boy .

Heather, the Clinical Director was amazing putting my dog at ease, spent time relaxing her and making our visit a positive experience. There was no rush to get things done. I can highly recommend Heather and her staff , as the receptionist are always friendly and helpful.

I have 4 chickens and one has been poorly for a few days . I called purton vets first thing as they are more familiar with poultry than other vets . Lovely receptionist got me in within a couple of hours to be seen . The outcome wasn’t what any pet owner wants but she offered the options and gave the compassion to the situation . I’m so thankful to both vet and receptionist as I was incredibly upset .
Thanks again All .
Well recommend and no doubt I will see you again in the future .
