The Practice provides services to a wide range of horses including competition horses and ponies, stud work, racing, polo, hunters and many general riding horses and ponies. Being fully mobile we are happy to carry out all examinations and diagnosis, investigations and treatment on your own premises.
We are small enough to care about you and your horse, but large enough to provide a high level of service and 24 hours emergency cover. Our team of vets has wide experience in general equine medicine, stud work, reproductive health and artificial insemination. Our vets offer a wide range of advisory information for horse and pony owners, keeping abreast of developments in the equine vet field.

Services
As a 100% ambulatory practice, we provide a fully mobile, comprehensive range of services at your own yard. Examinations, treatments and many procedures are carried out at your premises, and all of our up-to-date diagnostic equipment is brought to you, minimising stress for you and your horse. All of our stud and breeding services can be carried out with the mare at home, keeping her relaxed, and giving the best possible chance of success.
We are proud to have the expertise within our practice to be able to offer a comprehensive range of breeding services for everyone, from the top class TB studs and the professional sports horse breeders through to the first timers wanting to breed from their favourite mare. Andrew has a specialist qualification in Equine Stud Medicine (Cert EM).
The practice carries out impartial vettings of horses for pre-purchase and insurance purposes to a rigorous standard. The aim of the Pre-Purchase Examination/Vetting is to carry out a thorough clinical examination on behalf of a potential purchaser to identify and assess factors of a veterinary nature that could prejudice the horse's suitability for its intended use.
Since 2005, all equines in the UK are required by law to have a passport which identifies the animal, states whether or not it is intended for human consumption and shows the current owner. All passports issued since 1st Jult 2009 also require that the animal is microchipped and the microchip number is recorded in the passport.
Please check with your competition authorities with regard to their own recommended vaccination intervals. These vaccination intervals are rigidly enforced in many equine sports, and even one day over is not acceptable. Please do not embarrass our vets by asking them to backdate a vaccination - their livelihoods depend on their integrity.
