Services
If you have an urgent eye problem, you can now book an on-the-day telephone consultation via the Eye Emergency Referral service (EERS). Visit uhcw.nhs.uk and search Eye Emergency Referral Service to book a telephone consultation. This is a telephone appointment service for eye emergencies provided by University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
Between the hours of 8.00am and 9.30am Monday to Friday patients are to ring the practice to make appointments only. If you are a patient and want to book an appointment or have a query we will not pick this up through email and you will need to contact reception on 01676 540 395. Our phone lines are extremely busy from 8am to 10am Monday to Friday with patients wanting a same day telephone triage appointment.
Special Interests: Diabetes, Musculoskeletal, Minor surgery, Joint injections, Training GPs and Medical students. Our practice is a training/teaching practice. Our trainees are fully qualified and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to the practice for six to 12 months and usually become general practitioner partners after completing their training.
A dedicated call-handler will answer your call, ask you to confirm which surgery you are registered with, and then confirm your name, date of birth and address. Your medical record will be accessed, and the call-handler will ask you to confirm which medications you would like to order. We will not accept 'all of them' or 'everything'; we will need you to confirm each item separately.
Colds, flu and most sore throats do not need antibiotics and you can treat your symptoms at home. Make sure you get lots of rest, drink plenty of water and take pain relievers, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen, if you need them. If you take regular medication make sure you order your repeat prescriptions from your GP surgery in good time.

There is nothing wrong with the Drs at this surger but unfortunately the telephone system is a shambles. Its nearly impossible to get through on the phone. Not just a call in the morning for an appointment, but well after that. I spent 30 minutes as caller number 1 trying to get through to general enquiries before giving up. I phoned back in the afternoon to try speaking to the secretarys (only available after 1.30) just to be on hold for 11 minutes (twice) and have the phone call ended on me because the transfer failed.

Well done Spring hill team for your new telephone system! Absolutely no problems or issues.
I was able to make use of your queue buster system today as advised by your team and got called back promptly. Much better than calling 50 odd times to get through.
Your reception team has always been helpful and nurses and doctors are excellent.
Please keep up the good work and thank you for your work in the pandemic and the Galley common hub.
Like the other people , I would like to know when you are going to get back Galley common practice for us - as it would make it very easy for people like us.

The Doctors are actually good if you are one of the tiny minority who get the opportunity to speak to one. Literally you have to ring up to 200 times continuously to get any answer, and then the admin staff, (who are untrained, often rude and not medically trained) demand to know your condition and seem to have access to your records. As well as this being unprofessional I have to question the legality in view of the Data Protection Act 2018.
It is a shame as for a short time this was a very good Doctor's surgery, but it has been mis-managed for a few years by self important people who are not

Helpful reception team especially Karen and Jamie and your new doctors and nursing team have been great support last 18 months and myself and kids have been seen a number of times when needed especially with my mental health issues. I have been told you are getting rid of your old telephone system which is going to be a welcome change.

Lovely doctor I spoke to today. Must say I haven't had any problems last couple of years and during the pandemic. Lot of negative comments here and facebook and media in general but very hardworking team. I haven't had any issues. It will be easier for my parents if the galley common surgery can be restarted.

Awful experience!!! Waiting an hour on hold everytime!!! And by the you do get through, low and behold...NO APPOINTMENTS!!! I have a disabled child and was told 'well thats life!!!' By one particular member of staff'...won't mention names. The staff run the practice (into the ground might I add)...they would quite happily just leave their patients to die!!! So glad we have moved practice, where I can ring the number and someone actually answers!!! Springhill, SHAME ON YOU!!!

What a shambles. This practice needs to close down then open up again with fresh ideas to bring it up to the standard it was when at the old site. Doctors are good but let down by their system.I couldn't hack phoneing 87+ times every time to get an appointment so have now changed surgery.Less stress at last.
