On behalf of the Larkfield family, I would like to welcome you to our website, which will hopefully give you a flavour of our school and an insight into some of our activities. Our school sits at the North end of Southport on a large, secure green site, catering for over 300 pupils, aged between 4 and 11 years of age.
We aim to provide a stimulating, challenging and caring environment so that our children leave as well-educated, confident, and resilient members of the community; well-prepared for the next stage of their education and life in modern Britain. Children are proud to attend Larkfield and this is reflected in high standards of work, behaviour and appearance.

Services
Mrs Morgan leads the class on Monday and Tuesday and Miss Felmingham leads it for the remainder of the week. We have high expectations of the childrens' behaviour and attitude to learning. We want to ensure that the children become independent and are confident in their learning. PE is on Thursday mornings and children are required to come to school wearing their PE kit.
Information for parents of children with Special Educational Needs attending Sefton Schools. To compare us with other local primaries. Select postcode and put in PR98PA. Click find. On the next table alongside primary click 6 schools and the results for the local primaries will be displayed. Our admission number is 45 children per year group.
If you are concerned in any way about the welfare of any child at our school you should either speak to the designated person for safeguarding Mr. Ward or the deputy designated person, Mr. Palmen or Miss Geraghty. All information is treated in confidence but you must understand that we are obliged to notify social services if we feel a child is at risk.
Pupil premium is an amount of money allocated to the school, dependent on the number of 'disadvantaged children' at the school. The government uses the number of children eligible for free school meals on the basis of parental income [this does not include every KS1 child taking free school meals under the universal free school meals programme] to calculate the amount of money provided.
Our curriculum is organised by age range as follows: Foundation stage [reception] Key stage 1 [Y1&2] Lower Key stage 2 [Y3&4] and Upper Key stage 2 [Y5&6]. We teach the National Curriculum [and beyond] through central topics in each age group. Our topic curriculum is planned on a two-year cycle so that children do not repeat the same topic.

I couldn't be happier with Larkfield school. My daughter has changed schools half way through her primary years, all the worry i had about changing schools vanished within the 1st week of her starting Larkfield. My daughters words ( i wish i came to Larkfield sooner, its a million times better than my last school. The school has a great outlook on what school life should be like for all their children, its a calm environment full of happy children. We couldn't be happier with how things have turned out. Smaller schools dont get the recognition they deserve, but Larkfield really does deserve the
