Services
History has always been held in high regard at Norwood, with the school's location having its own rich history. The History curriculum at Norwood makes full use resources within the immediate and wider local area enabling children to develop a deep understanding of the rich history of their locality.
Every week, myself as the Head Teacher, invites prospective parents to tour the school during the day to see the fabulous building and facilities we have on offer as well as giving you an insight into the wonderful relationships we have between pupils and staff. Unfortunately because of all the restrictions we have put in place to keep our school community safe, we haven't been able to do this.
On this webpage we aim to provide information that will help you support your child throughout their Reception year. We will update with regular newsletters and information about our ongoing topics. We would recommend that you check the website regularly to keep you fully informed with all the latest news and information.
Year 1 are working brilliantly, growing in independence and confidence. They have learnt lots of new and exciting things and are enjoying studying a wide range of subjects. Their enthusiasm is great and it is wonderful to see the children's progress since the start of the year. No P.E kit is required yet, but your child will need a pair of trainers or pumps to change into for P.E lessons and the Golden Mile.
Year 3 PE days this term are Tuesdays and Fridays. The children will need to come to school wearing their PE kits on these days. Your child will also need to have trainers in school each day for the Golden Mile and other outdoor opportunities. Homework is yet to be confirmed. Children are to keep their homework folders with their homework booklets at home.
