Crossriggs Veterinary Clinic
Based in Cumnock in Ayrshire and covering a 30-mile radius, Crossriggs Vets is a busy family practice, providing a comprehensive veterinary service for all domestic pets. The whole Crossriggs team is dedicated to working together to provide a high professional standard of veterinary care. Assess and care for each patient holistically, considering appropriate treatment, preventative healthcare and long term/acceptable quality of life.

Offer a friendly, sympathetic and efficient service to all our clients, taking into account their needs as well as those of the patient. Ensure that we have a solid financial base so that we can further develop the potential and skills of each member of our team and can continue to improve the quality and scope of the services that we provide.
Services
Crossriggs currently employs three full-time clinical vets, one vet in a full-time managerial role and ten support staff who are committed to caring for the needs of our clients as well as their pets and to providing the best possible customer care. The premises in Cumnock were extended and refurbished twenty years ago, enabling the practice to increase our facilities for both small and large animals.
Heather graduated from the Dick Vet College in Edinburgh in 1974. As practice manager she now works very hard to ensure that the practice runs smoothly - always a busy task! Heather has also undertaken specialist training in animal behaviour and when time allows she occasionally sees pets with their owners for behaviour consultations.
Iain joined the practice in 2010 after qualifying from Edinburgh Dick Vet. With a previous career as an electronics engineer under his belt, he finally saw sense and followed his parents into the family business. He is enjoying the variety of first opinion practice and the day-to-day challenges that practice life can bring.
Rose came to Crossriggs in 2003 as a full time veterinary nursing assistant after working at veterinary practices in Edinburgh, and also after several years as a zookeeper at Edinburgh Zoo. In 2004 she left briefly, then returned part time, to allow her to set up her boarding facilities for cats.

She also trains young, keen Border Collies as working dogs for farmers who don't have the necessary time themselves, and occasionally breed litters of Border Collies.Jennifer started working at Crossriggs in 2012 as a student Veterinary Nurse when she began training at the Barony College in Dumfries.
Parking: There is a free public car park adjacent to the practice. We also have some limited spaces just outside the practice, including one disabled space for clients who need it or for poorly pets who can't walk far. If you require any assistance into the practice please inform us before hand and give us a call on arrival to allow one of our team to help you.
