Services
I stayed at the Fairburn Hotel recently along with my farther in law and son whilst walking the River Ayr Way, arriving tired and wet after a 22 mile hike.
We were met by friendly staff and a very cosy and inviting bar, the rooms were immaculate and more than adequate for some well weary travelers, dinner was very nice washed down by a few equally well received pints, I have stayed in many many Hotels and the Fairburn struck me as run by people who want to impress and its the little details that always count the hotel has a very nice and welcoming atmosphere and for me gets my vote, the only complaint any of us had was the prospect of having to walk another 22 miles after a fantastic big fry!

Dropped in during an impromptu drive through East Ayrshire. The restaurant is a must for any foodies. The seabass with scallops and accompanying veg were cooked and seasoned to perfection. My husband's steak pie was flavoursome and filling. The menu gave information on their locally sourced produce. Children are also catered for well. Their dishes arrived with a paper plane toy. A nice touch! A real hidden gem. Will definitely be back.

Went to the Fairburn Hotel for the Sunday Lunch and was not disappointed. I had the chicken and rice soup to start followed by the Roast Beef with all the trimmings, everything freshly made, no shortcuts...it was delicious!! Planning a return visit to try out the cocktails next...would definitely recommend.
